I don't like him. Just by looking at him, I could tell I don't like him. And the way he looks at Aryll? I hate that. It wasn't the look of, "I will protect you" but more of , "I will crush you tiny mortal lady!"

So when he said, "I hope you don't mind but Aryll and I are dating," and to prove his point, he grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

I didn't hide my disapproval, and shock. My jaw dropped and and I drew in a sharp breath. Problem A: Aryll was 12. Problem B: He changed Aryll. Problem C: This guy looked about 16. I wanted to scream "STAY AWAY!", but I wasn't feeling very courageous today.

Tetra has the same look in her eye as if she is feeling the same thing. But, she shrugs it off and moves on. Although, she still looks as though she still doesn't like him.

So after Finn's little intro, Tetra sighs. "Let me guess. We have to first find out what it is and who or what is causing this illness."

Finns nods, "I would go if I could, but I was stranded here. Aryll saved me," he smiles like what Aryll did was the most amazing thing in the world. To me, it wasn't.

"When did you get here? How long have you been with my little sister?" I demand, because earlier, I hadn't asked and now I needed to know. This might get Tetra and I somewhere in our search.

Instead, Finn points his finger at me. "She's not you're little anything. You can't stop me from seeing her. All you are is a boy who was out to do something noble, but then just got caught up in power and-"

Aryll places a hand on his shoulder. "Finn," she interrupts him, "that's not necessary."

He looks over at her, clenches his jaw, and then says, "I know." Finn glances at Tetra, then me. "I have been known to have a bad temper."

Tetra raises an eyebrow. I know the look. If we ever had come across an island, we would stock up on food and oil. Every once in awhile, there was an amazing food called "fried cucco". We would always have left-overs that we took back to the pirate ship, and I would always eat the last piece. Tetra gave me that same look when I denied eating the last piece. She doesn't trust this guy one bit.

I give her a questioning look. She mouths only one word back: Later. I nod and then say. "Well, I haven't been here in over five years, so I'm going to go visit people." I point at Tetra, "Try not to kill anyone." She nods back at me. I turn and start walking towards the door when I remember something. I fish this something out of my side pack and turn around. "Hey Aryll! Catch!"

Aryll catches the telescope that she gave be on my twelfth birthday. He face lights up, and it makes me smile. Unfortunately, it makes Finn smile too. "Thank you, big brother!"

"You're welcome." I turn and walk out the door. I manage to catch Tetra saying, "Finn and Aryll, you two are now suspects of a crime." I make a face, then shake my head. Tetra says some weird stuff sometimes.

I walk past some of the huts, not even bothering to go and see if my friends are home, and instead keep walking. I wasn't really going to go and visit people, I was going to sulk in the forest area of Outset Island.

*****

When I leave the forest, the word had gotten out about Tetra and I coming back. Everyone on the island has gathered. I frown. I don't want to be near people. All I wanted was my grandma back. I would do anything to get her back.

One good thing that has happened on this island is that the bridge was fixed. I walk across it quickly and trudge over to the random rock that was on the hill up here. Old Man Ho-Ho used to stand here, talking about a secret treasure on Outset. Once I'm there, I climb up the rock that looks out to sea. Death is death, and I know I can't get Grandma back, no matter how much I try. But it doesn't stop me from wanting her back.

I sigh and sit down on the rock. I look around below me. A seagull flies over me. Then another. Five more follow. I frown in thought. The only time this many seagulls in a group on this island was when my sister-

"Brother!" I sigh as I saw her round the corner and climb up the rock so she could sit next to me.

"You've gotten strong," I tell Aryll, which makes her smile. "What made you come up here?" I ask.

"I knew that you would be up here when everybody told me they hadn't seen you. Like when we were little, every time Grandma scolded you, you came up here to be alone," Aryll frowns, looking as though she wants to cry. "She was never harsh when you were gone."

I give her a weak smile, which fades fast. When I look away, Aryll follows my gaze out to sea. "I'm glad you're back." I nod. "Even if it was because of Grandma." I nod again. Aryll holds onto my left arm, which is the side she is sitting on. She then rests her head on my shoulder.

"We used to sit like this when we were young," I remember. "We used to watch the sun set." I sigh, "What happened?"

*****

"Do you know if there are any more left?" I ask the guy who always cuts his grass the next day. I've never bothered to learn his name, so I call him Joey.

He shakes his head. "I know that there aren't any. I watched Zill and his brother take off with them."

I shake my head for what feels like the ten millionth time. "Thanks anyway." That explains why I have yet to see Zill One and Zill Two. I turn and walk away from Joey. Considering how poorly Tetra and I did when we were out to sea, they probably won't be coming back. I pray that the Goddesses have mercy on their souls, for they are about eleven.

I look up from where I am walking and almost run into Tetra. She turns and raises her eyebrow. Man, everytime I look at her, I fall for her all over again.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Tetra demands.

"Nothing," I shake my head, "They don't have those boats any more." I give a more guarded face.

"Darn," she sighs and thinks for a moment. "Do you think you can keep using that baton?" Tetra asks. We need a better boat than our old row boat. It was falling apart as it is. That's why I was asking around the island to see if they have any boats. Obviously, they don't.

I shake my head, "I can keep using my Wind Waker, no problem, but if we use that boat again-" I look over at the boat, which sinks, further proving my point, "I don't know-"

"The boat's broken and gone. Got it." She hesitates before saying, "I think I have an idea."
