After a while, I begin to get hungry. "Hey," I say as I adjust myself in the boat, "I'm getting hungry. We're going to have to stop soon." Link nods in agreement. "If we're going to fight, it's going to be with full bellies. I've already told Zelda to stop later than we needed to so we could head back to Outset, to make sure Aryll is safe, and so we can eat."

Link nods again. "Yeah. I'm worried about her. The hut is going to be quiet without Grandma and Aryl..." He frowns and looks so sad, I almost feel bad for him.

Almost.

We're quiet for a minute and I remember what I heard last night: the reasons why Link likes me. I roll my eyes to myself. Sure, I may be pretty, and always there, but that's because I take after my mom in both. She always taught me to back up my crew and my friends (if I ever got any).

But even with good looks and loyalty, I know I'm not funny and likeable. I

m inly funny to myself, and I'm always barking orders at people with absolutely no manners whatsoever.

Even though I don't see the same things in myself as Link does, it still flatters me. I sneak a glance at Link. His hair is blowing with the wind, getting in his face. He looks happy, just like this is where he is supposed to be. I smile a little, looking at him gazing out to sea. Link is kinda cute, I think being honest with myself for once. And funny, and smart, and courageous and-

Stop, I think to myself. If you go down this path, you may never come back. Love is weakness.

But I don't love him.

Yeah, because you have been listening to me, the smart one.

As my conscious fights with itself, an island comes into view. As we sail closer, I see that it's Outset, our next destination.

I hit LInk's arm to grab his attention, and when I do, I point at the large island. He nods and tells me to move. I do, and he moves to control the boat, making sure that we will end up by the dock, not the side of the island. Within a few minutes, we move around the side of the island, stopped at the dock.

Link puts away the sail, and I climb out onto the dock. I Let my legs wake up, and then slowly stand up. Link does the same thing, but quicker, and then we both look over at Zelda.

"I must warn you. I feel a large amount of darkness dwelling on this island. Go forward with caution." She warns with a concerned look on her boat face.

Link nods three times quickly, and I say, "Thanks for the heads up." Zelda nods, and I turn to Link. "Time to jet. Walk slowly. We need to talk."

He nods. "Of course." We start walking toward Link's hut. "What's up?"

"I heard what you and Zelda were talking about last night."

Link stops. "I thought you were asleep."

I stop too and turn so I'm standing in front of him. He's blushing, making his face as red as a red rupee. "Well, I was... Until I heard you and Zelda talking. I'm a light sleeper, remember?"

"Yeah," he says and his face just keeps getting redder.

I laugh. "Don't be embarrassed. It's good to know what my friends think of me." I put a hand on his shoulder. "Thanks." I smile and turn, walking fast to his hut.

"Hey! Wait up!" Link shouts making me roll my eyes and walk faster.

"So demanding," I call over my shoulder and listen to him run up behind me and appear to my left. "Took you long enough."

"Do me a favor and don't tease me about it, okay?"

I smirk and we reach the door. "Sure, because I'm such a nice person."
