I run all the way down to the boat. The Queen of Blue Tigers bobs gently in the water. This boat wasn't the same as my old boat, but she is filling the empty spot in my heart. I'm glad that she came right out and said that she was a descendent of Tetra, for we wouldn't have been fooled by her. After that big reveal with the King of Hyrule, we've been noticing things more.
I sit down and wait for Tetra and Medli. I look at the Queen (I've just started calling her that, mostly because it's easier). "We've figured some stuff out. Tetra and Medli are going to be-"
"Why do you like Tetra?" I give her a shocked expression and she just tilts her head as though this was an everyday question. "She is my family and I do wish to know."
She may not speak the same way as people do nowadays, but I'm just glad that she doesn't speak ancient Hylian. It would have taken me a few minutes to understand even a sentence of what she says. I learned how to speak ancient Hylian when it was revealed that I was the reincarnation of the Hero of Time. It does come in handy when I talk to people from the Hero's time.
I shake my head. "And what will you do if I don't tell you?" I say, curious as to what a boat could do to me.
She gave me a smile, (or what looks like a smile. It's hard to tell since she is a boat) and says, "I was a mother once. I know how to tease children." She laughs an elegant laugh, or as elegant as a boat can laugh, and then says, "Tell me later boy. Your friends are here."
I turn around, and surely enough, there's Tetra walking with Medli down the stairs. When I see Medli, I jump up, run over to her, and tackle her in a hug. "Medli!" I exclaim when I hug her. She reacts and wraps her arms around me when she figures out who it was who was hugging her.
"I've missed you." She says and she pulls back. "Guess what? Soon after we got back from rescuing you two from the ocean, Komali and I got married!" She smiles, but it quickly fades. "We have only one child, and he is infected." Tetra nods, obviously already aware of this news.
Now a little fact about Medli and Komali: they're older than Tetra and me. I learned of this when Medli and I were talking during our time in the temple.
"I'm so sorry and happy for you. I'm glad we have you though. You can start spreading the word about the illness and tell people the symptoms. We can isolate the people with the infection to see what happens." I say. "But don't leave just yet, because we," I point at Tetra, Medli, the Queen and then myself, "have some talking to do."
"So what happened when I left?" Tetra says, right off the bat, automatically making the conversation about her. I roll my eyes at this but continue.
"Anyway, after you left, I asked Linda if she remembers anybody strange around on this island, and if they were no longer on this island." I look at Tetra. "She perfectly described our skeeze-ball douche- bag 'friend' Finn." And I make quotes around friend.
"Just keep adding the names Link, just keep going." Tetra shakes her head, but there is a smile on her face.
Medli looks at me. "Finn came to my home on Dragon Roost, but he looked like a member of the Rito tribe. I think he was portraying himself as an older Rito man, although I'm very sure that he didn't go by the name of Finn. He went by the name of Aubel."
"Do you remember anything he could have done to make your child Kedali sick?" Tetra asks, and I can only assume they talked about her kid all the way down here.
