The only thing running through my mind as I was sitting down on Linda's couch is Finn. How was he able to get onto my head? When he possessed me, it was like watching myself outside of my body. It would have been kinda cool if it hadn't been so terrifying. And on top of that, my head hurts something fierce, I can't see straight, and I'm wobbly on my feet.
Once we are all sitting down, Link starts talking, knowing that I could barely stand, much less keep a conversation going. I look around her house. It looks a lot like the cabana, only smaller. The couch is harder than the one at the cabana, so it doesn't feel great on my sore body. I can't pay attention to what Link is saying, but I do try to pay attention to what Linda says (I completely fail at it though).
The fact that I don't know why Finn is doing this and the fact that I don't know who else has been a victim of this illness really bothers me. Kronitis, as I'm calling this illness, has taken two people Link knows already. There has to be more out there, since it seems to hit in random spots.
I look up at Linda. "Do you mind if I go take a walk? I haven't seen everything that you guys have done with the island, since it has been so long." She nods and I stand up and head for the door.
Once I get outside, I climb down the ladder and head back down the ladder and head back to the make-shift hospital. But instead of going in, I walk around it and run into a young Rito girl. Her back is to me, so when she turns around, both of us jump back a little. She looks familiar, and somehow (again) she knows who I am. She has long brown hair in a ponytail held by a yellow hair tie. She has an orange beak/nose and big red eyes, along with pointy ears. On her forehead, she wears a thin head band. She is wearing a blue dress with a red front with the Rito insigma.
"You're Tetra," she says matter-of-factly. Oh goddesses, please. How many more people did Link talk to me about? I nod and she goes on. "I'm Medli. I was the Earth sage. I'm looking for Link. Have you seen him?"
I ignore her question and ask mine instead. "Aren't you supposed to be, like, praying or something right now?" But as soon as I said it, I remember. When Hyrule was washed away, there was no need for to keep praying to to the gods of a destroyed land. When the land died, so did the gods. "Nevermind," I mutter before she opens her mouth to talk.
"I don't know if you know or not, but something is going on with the three goddesses. I can't communicate with the goddesses directly, mind you, but the sages were the protectors of the triforce. The former sages and I can tell that there is something wrong." She pauses and drags me to a side where the ledge is low enough for me to sit on. I sit and she jumps up on the ledge as well.
"Has anything happen to you or Link? Has anyone bothered or harmed you?" I nod. "Just as I thought. The goddesses are worried that their creations and people are going to be destroyed by Finn. I do not know if he is working for someone or if that someone is just him."
I think for a moment, trying to name more than just the fact that he possessed me, but I can't so I turn to Meldi. "Yeah. Finn possessed me and fought Link as me, but Link shoved me down the stairs, causing Finn to be forced out of my mind." I move to point to the bandages on my head and my arm. Medli frowns.
Honestly, right now, I just want to sit here, and not talk about this. I was already interrogated, and I don't need to be again by Medli. The last time I saw her, she looked just like a little girl. She still does, but with the way she talks, she reminds me of my mother. With that thought, my mind starts drifting to the few memories I have left of my mother.
I remember she looked like me, with the same eyes and chin. But that's where the similarities ended. Our noses were different and her hair was longer than mine and red. She wore her hair braided tightly down her back instead of in a bun like mine.
