Chapter Thirteen: A New Mission

We appeared in the center of Celestial Storm's common room. We stepped away from Namaezen, who was still glowing, and watched as the Blazing Eye mages disappeared.

I turned around at the sound of Sreldes' joyful cry.

"Lucina! I'm so glad that you're all right!" Sreldes cried as he hugged me.

"Oh, sure. You're worried about the new girl," Khanordhoi snarled, "I notice that you aren't worried about the rest of us."

"Oh, yes, I was concerned about you lot as well," Sreldes said casually.

"You don't sound very sincere!" Khanordhoi snarled.

"I am being sincere, my dear boy. It's just that Lucina is a new member, so I couldn't help but worry about her," Sreldes said.

Khanordhoi snorted and stomped over to the bar.

"Murina, please get me some ale," he said.

"Coming right up!" Murina and Irina said happily.

Dukhiza stalked over to the bar as well.
"Oh, can I have some milk?" Fryn squeaked as he and Flame approached the bar.

"Coming right up!" Murina and Irina sang out together, "We've got drinks for everyone."

"Good. I need to get hammered so I can forget being beaten by that foul mage," Tugulia said.

"At least you're not as useless as Lucina is," Fryn said.

"I am not useless!" I moaned indignantly.

"Fryn, what is wrong with you? Tugulia is one of the only people who is as useless as the new girl," Khanordhoi said.

"How dare you talk about my woman that way!" Vlukyn screeched before Tugulia or I could make any reply, "By the look of it, she was the only one who was concerned about Tamira. The only other person who showed any concern was Cynthia."

I heard a loud thump as Nilfrasi fell over. He mouthed indignantly at Vlukyn.

"We were all locked in combat, you moron!" Dukhiza said sharply, "Just because we couldn't come to Tamira's aid, doesn't mean we didn't care about her."

"How wonderful! You really do care about Tamira," Sreldes cried joyfully.

"Shut up!" Dukhiza growled.

"B-but I started going mad when I saw that wretched man attack Tamira," Nifrael said sounding both hurt and indignant.

"So did I!" Nilfrasi said from the floor.

"Yeah, if you weren't playing around with all the dead bodies you came across, you would have arrived in time to see all of us start going berserk on that scumbag," Khanordhoi added.

"You're not the only one who cares about Tamira! Nobody in their right mind would not care about her!" Flame roared as he jumped on the bar. "In fact, nobody in their right mind would not are about everyone else who got hurt!"

"You're not the only one who cares, numb nuts!" Gazual roared jumping up on the bar to kick Flame in the face.

Flame fell backward and landed on Khanordhoi and Dukhiza, who fell into Fauked, Regdor and Besteg. A bar fight quickly erupted.

"Hooray! A bar fight!" Phoebe cried as she jumped into the bar fight.

"Ah, the young hoodlums are already fighting," Sreldes sighed.
