Home sweet home (Celeb)

As I walked home from school all I could think about was what faction I should choose. If I choose amity I would be with that really pretty girl, NiMi and if u choose erudite people would think I'm really smart. But if it choose dauntless I get to be with Nicki. While thinking of her name my heart started to flutter. Jeez but dauntless looks hard. I am very weak but I love sports and I hate hurting people, and dauntless is all about fighting. Hopefully I'll figure something out.

My hands trembled as I slipped my key into the door it was 3:07. I was late.
As I walked inside I heard my mother call me into the kitchen. "How was our first day" she seemed unsettled. " I took my aptitude test today" I said with a nervous grin. "Oh yes I remember when cousin Leo did the test," she whispered " so how was it?" " it was good I think. I'm choosing on Mond-" as I tried to finish I heard my fathers footsteps booming as he walked down the stairs. " Celeb!" He called "yes dad?"  I sounded scared "what have I told you about when you come home you have to come straight upstairs and greet your father" he said angrily " sorry dad I was just telling mom how the first day was" I said slowly backing up "what time does school finish?" He looked at me with his bloodshot eyes "2:30" I knew what was coming next." And what time did you com home?" He was getting closer "3:07"  I said with fear in my eyes. " I told you that you should be home by 2;45"   He shouted with rage as he unbuckled his belt from his waist. I shut my eyes in wait for the belt to hit. I heard the jingle from the metal part of his belt as it fell. Sharp pain grasped my back multiple times until i was numb all over. "Next
Time you won't be so lucky" my father said as he put his belt back on.

My body was throbbing from the pain I just felt. I laid on my bed very carefully because every move stung.it was 3:15 and I needed to leave.

I ran downstairs and asked my mom if I could go outside and she let me. My body is still aching from the belt but I knew u would see her.

I saw Nicki before that day. She lived 4 houses down from me. So I knew where to drop the letter off while I was walking home from school earlier. I walked to the juice bar and waiting outside for about 10 minutes.

As I saw Nicki ride her bike frantically to the entrance my heart started to beat really fast. But I had to keep my cool. I noticed the looked very uncomfortable with the clothes she was wearing she still looked beautiful. "Sorry I'm late" she said out of breath. "Don't worry I just got here too". I think she could tell I was lying. We walked in and sat down I got my juice and she got hers. We talked and laughed and I stupidly said something and she looked stunned I quickly corrected myself and I could tell she found it very funny. She left in a rush. But the good news is I got her number.
