(Sunday)

I wake up to the sound of a knock on the door groaning from being awoken I mumble out a come in to be greeted by a smiling dad.

"Hey flower, how you feeling? Do you think you can go to church today?" He ask already in his church clothes.

"Yeah, I think I can go today." I yawned

"Ok, I'll let you get yourself ready, I'll be in the hallway." He said walking out.

I stretched out, and pulled the covers off my bed and called the nurse in to make sure I was suitable to be able to go to church, fortunately since my brain tumor hasn't gotten worse, so I have a higher chance of being able to go.

After getting a small check up I was aloud to go. I got changed into a nice white laced dress with some tights and nice sandals.

*end church service*

"Now please rise to sing a song of praise?" The pastor asked.

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name.

"My god guide you on your path, and help show you the way, amen."

With that everyone started to file out into the "food room" well that's what I call it.

"Do you want to go or stay awhile?" My dad asked as we walked out.

"Can we go? I just don't want to be attacked with questions."

"Yeah, let's go do you want to get some ice cream?"

"You read my mind." I smiled as we walked out to the car. We pulled out of the church parking lot, on our way to get some ice cream we decided to get some Ben and jerry's and eat it at the little meadow we would go to when I was younger.

We parked the car and walked out to our spot, and sat down on the beach that my dad had made in remembrance of mom. We were eating In silence when my dad finally spoke up.

"I remember we would take you and Ashton  here on the weekends, and you guys would have so much fun just running around, climbing the trees, trying to catch frogs from the pond." He laughed a little at the end.

"What happened between you, and Him?" He asked curiously.

"Well once we went into the high school he got busy with this band he joined, I didn't want to take him away from what he loves so, I just let it be, shortly afterward we weren't talking as much and then, all the sudden, the connection between us was gone." I sighed

"I didn't know that Soph, I'm sorry."

"It's ok, I didn't want to take you away from mom, and I didn't want mom to be upset, so I just kept to myself."

"You should have told me. I could have don-"

"Dad it's ok, it's in the past." I cut him off.

With that we spent the rest of our time telling stories, and remember the good old days, when it was time for me to head back to my boring hospital room to watch more Netflix. My dad said he'd be back tomorrow, but with a surprise...
