ASPEN'S POV.

I woke up in a different room, a room that I was not too familiar with.

As I regained my focus, I realized I was in a boys room.

Grayson's.

I instantly sat up, seeing as there was no one in the room with me.

I stood up, observing his room, yeah I'd been in here once but that was for a school project.

I then noticed my wrists, they were bandaged up.

The memories of what had happened a few hours ago filling into my head.

If it wasn't for Mack I would be dead right now, but why would she care?

She wouldn't be known as the only girl who is friends with the loser in school.

She could actually have more friends, people who like her.

I was lost in my thoughts when I heard people coming up stairs.

I didn't want to be here, especially not when Grayson is here.

He used me.

I quickly ran to his closet, trying to blend in to anything I could.

"I know I know." Grayson's muffled voice came from the hallway.

I heard the door open and in came Grayson, Ethan and Mack.

"Where is she!" Ethan shouted, making me flinch.

"I don't know she was right here." Grayson spoke, his eyes wandering around the room.

"She couldn't of gone far, I know her too well." Mack explained, looking at the boys.

"We need to find her." Ethan spoke, as they all left the room.

After about what I thought was 5 minutes I came out of my hiding spot.

I let out a sigh of relief, I was alone again.

"I knew you were still in here." A voice spoke, shutting the door.

I instantly turned around to see Grayson standing there.

"How?" I questioned quietly, looking at him.

"You hide. You don't run." Grayson replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"Aspen, please let me explain what happened back there." Grayson pleaded, walking up to me.

"You don't have to explain anything Grayson.." I whispered, looking down at the floor.

"But I do, you don't know what really happened." Grayson tried to reason with me.

Why was I supposed to believe him?

After what he's done to me?

"I saw you making out with her. You used me." I choked out, shaking my head.

"I thought you changed Grayson.. I really did.. But now.." I swallowed, looking up at him with teary eyes.

Grayson looked at me sadly, as if knowing what I was going to say.

"I can't trust you right now.. I need time.." I murmured, as a tear slipped down my face.

"Please, I promise you I've changed, I'm not the same asshole as I used to be." Grayson pleaded, grabbing my hands gently.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, squeezing his hand softly.

In that moment I never witnessed Grayson Dolan having emotions, or feelings.

He looked so broken and beaten down, it made my heart ache.

"I'm gonna head on home.. I'll see you around.." I weakly smiled, grabbing my jacket and leaving his room.

I did what had to be done.

**** next day ****

I didn't want to go to school today, I couldn't face the torture.

I knew that people would continue to bully me, and now that I lost Grayson I'm as good as fresh meat all over again.

I was asleep when I heard my doorknob turn open.

"Honey time for school." My mom spoke softly, not wanting to hurt me in any emotional form.

"Mom.. I really don't want to go today, I don't feel well." I complained, pulling off my best sick voice.

She came out from the doorway and put her hand to my forehead.

"You may be running a slight fever, I'll call you in, feel better." She smiled warmly and shut my door.

Thank the lord I was alone for a day.

I reached over and grabbed my phone.

To; Mack
From; Me
hey i pulled a sick day, im not gonna be there.

I then sent the message.

I know I said I was never big on social media, but I did however have a secret twitter account.

It was a fanpage account.

I logged in and saw all sorts of photos, of me and Grayson.

I really missed him, but he used me.

Speaking of him, he had texted me.

To; Me
From; Grayson
hey mack said you aren't comin' today, you at home?

I blinked a few times trying to process his text.

To; Grayson
From; Me

yeah.. um.. i'm sick..

I replied, not only seconds later I heard a tapping at my window.

I stood up lazily, my eyes widening.

Grayson.

I opened my window and he carefully climbed in.

"Grayson what are you doing here?" I exlaimed, somewhat tired.

"I don't know honestly." He replied, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"I told you I needed more time.." I sighed, looking at the ground.

Yeah right. I didn't need more time I needed him.

"I know, I know you said that." He sighed, looking at me.

"Then why are you here?" I questioned quietly, unsure of what he was trying to say.

"I missed you." He frowned, messing with his hair.

I blinked a few times.

"I missed you too." I whispered, making his eyes meet mine.

I couldn't help what happened next, all I know is one second I was near my bed and the next thing I know is I'm in his warm tight embrace.

"Never leave me." I mumbled, holding him closer.

"I don't plan on it." He replied, a small chuckle leaving his lips.

I let out a small laugh and messed with his shirt.

"I do however need to get to school." He sighed, looking at me sadly.

I thought a minute, unsure if I actually wanted to offer my idea.

"Stay with me." I blurted out, my cheeks reddening from blushing.

"I- what?" He stammered, unsure of what he just heard.

"I mean.. You can if you want.." I shrugged sitting down on my bed.

"I uh.. Yeah.. That sounds great." He smiled, sitting down next to me.

The rest of the day was relaxing, we watched movies and laughed and talked.

It was nice.

Until I saw the text.
