She'd watched her from afar
Her dreams trapped behind a beautiful complexion
Perhaps the only right she could do was wrongShe had seen her stare
The way a smile burst into insecurity
There was more there
Something else
Something buddingAt night, she prayed
Was this right?
Was this wrong?
God sent nothingSo she came up with her own answer
Months passed
Papers flew
Grades dropped
She couldn't wait until she saw herThey ignored the stares
And went off in a pair
Sweaty hands
Full hearts
And lovesick heads
