There was knock athe door the next morning and Rita was looking through some web searches. She stood up and went to the door opening to Karen.
"Hey have you had breakfast yet?" she asked.
"Not really no," Rita was confused about why she was up so early.
"Would you like to join me I know this really good resturaunt," she said.
"Sure I guess," Rita said and then noticed that Karen was holding her coat that she gave her last night.
"Oh yeah here is your coat back I washed it so it should be clean." she said.
"Thank you," she said and put it back on then got her keys and wallet from the side of the door and closed it behind her.
At a private room in a resturaunt Karen and Rita were sitting across each other. The waiter was sent to get water and Karen ordered some eggs with some bread and jam on the side. When they were alone Karen couldn't hold back anymore.
"Rita I still can't get pass the fact that you healed me with your hands," she said, "I have not met a vampire that could do that until you."
"Karen you do know that some were not born a vampire." she said.
"That's true but how did you become a vampire?" she asked.
"Why would you want to know something like that?" Rita questioned back.
"It's because I want to know more about you," Karen admitted, "There's something about you that I am drawn to and I just feel that if I know more about you then I will become closer to you."
"Very well," Rita sat back when the waiter came back with their orders and left with silence, "You should eat before your stomache starts to growl out of hunger." Karen picked up a fork and started to snack on the food. Rita smiled and began to talk, "I haven't been a vampire for too long but I assure you that I know more danger that could drive a human mad."
"Are you a private detective?" Karen questioned as she took a sip of her water.
"In some sense," Rita shrugged, "I help a friend of the police department from time to time. I also do some personal work that relaxes me somewhat."
"What kind of personal work?" she asked.
"Oh just observing the night and if there is something wrong in my sight I stick my nose in it," Rita explained.
"You shouldn't do that!" she said, "That's dangerous for a girl!"
"I'm used to it by now," Rita assured her.
"Still that doesn't mean that it gets any better now does it?"
Rita agreed with her, "That is correct," she sighed, "I have faced danger ever since I was born but I don't see it like that. I view life as an obsecle course. Every challange is what you must do to achieve your goal."
"And what is your goal?" Karen asked.
"I am not sure yet." she sighed, "At the current time it is to find someone that is dangerous."
"Who?" she asked then the idea came to her head, "Are you on a case?"
"Who knows," Rita sighed, "I am not sure the case would be my taste yet."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I take cases that would satisfy the need of mysteries and danger I crave for," Rita explained, "If the case does not do that I solve it without actually leaving my location,"
"So solving cases or problems are like a game to you?" Karen asked.
"Sometimes but others are automatically different that makes it more like a puzzle and I do love puzzles."
