The Seeing and Try

Chapter Thirteen

William and Henry were at their apartment after their talk with Tucker. They felt a shill in the air and then saw smoke rising to the air. Wasn't that from the building that Karen and Rita were at? They were about to run out when they saw Karen coming up the stairs to them. The two of them were shocked that she was now a vampire. 

"You made Rita to turn you!" William said. 

"I wanted it so don't lecture her so much when she comes back," Rita said. 

"Well as long as you are okay now." Henry said. 

"I'm perfectly fine now!" she spun around happily. She went to the apartment and opened the door and Aiden was there sitting on the couch. 

"I'm afraid that you won't be seeing Rita anymore." Aiden said. 

They were all silent. Aiden gestured them to sit down and that he was allowed to explain what was happening. William closed the door and they all sat down across Aiden. 

"Ritallia is her actual name," Aiden said, "She was born in a good family. Her father was one of the top vampires in the world and her mother was considered as a powerful angel." 

"Is that how she is able to heal?" Karen asked. 

Aiden nodded, "The truth is that Rita was originally an angel and almost vampire but somehow she developed a power that could not be explained. She could kill anyone or anything by just touching. Luckily she was able to control her abilities but that was because of Tucker. A death angel that took a liking to Rita. At first she didn't want to be involved with him but he made recieved her brothers friendship and used that to get closer to her. After a year she started going out with him and that was when she was made to kill a friend that has been tortured by the friends of Tucker. He told her that her friend would be freed of pain if she killed her. She thought he was right and used her power shattering the existance of her friend. After that Rita was torn apart and told her brother telling him to keep away from him. I have hated him when I met him at a resturaunt while Zach and I were trying to convince her to date again. Tucker found her and he thought that Zach was introducing me to date Rita and he french kissed her showing her something that made her slap him in the face. She disappeared after that day, I haven't seen her since then. Not until a few days ago." 

"Why doesn't she kill him?" Karen asked.

"Because she doesn't like funerals or ending an innocent or anything." Aiden said, "She doesn't believe it but she is an actual pure soul." then he stood up and gave an envelope to Karen, "This is her way of saying good bye. She also says to forgive her." 

"Forgive her?" Karen asked in confusion. 

"You'll understand when you read that alone," Aiden said, "Now then I'm sure that right now Rita is shutting down all her walls and after this she will be a danger to herself and the only way to be safe she has to be with her eternal lover. For some reason Tucker is her partner." 

"How can you be sure?" Henry asked. 

"I just know because of the way she was beside him." Aiden sighed, "Somtimes I think the world is against Rita and she is just accepting things when it came to her. For others she would do anything to make sure that the person would get to live and happy." 

"Then we should save her," Henry said.

"There is no need for that since she has already made her choice and if you did try to stop her I am sure that she would stop you from ruining of your life," Aiden said. 

"I don't care she doesn't need to sacrifise her life because of it might be destined." Henry said. 

Aiden shook his head, "There is no way that she will think of herself before others." Henry sighed and Aiden could see what the frustration was, "Henry you might have felt something for her but she is taken and she would want your friendship not a relationship." 

Henry sighed, "You're right but it's still not right." 

"Well there is nothing we can do," Aiden sighed and then stood up. 

"What is happening with that case about the Mercy?" William asked. 

Aiden sighed, "I made sure the case was cold and I'm sure that Rita would want to take care of the leader herself. The questions from the office have alreday been answered and the fire will be explained to the public that there was a camp fire that wasn't properly put out. The only thing that has to be handled is the person who is responsible for all the years of killings." 

"What about the families?" Karen asked.

"The vampire government doesn't really think the whole human family relations they just want to get the job done and move on," Aiden informed them, "On the other hand Rita might take it upon herself that she is responsible of bringing the news or tried to get the families some peace in mind." 

"Do you think we will see her again?" Henry asked.

Aiden shrugged, "Live long enough and you might." he said and walked out of the apartment. 

Karen sighed and saw the worries that was between her brothers. She didn't blame them Rita was a kind and sweet lady. Karen went in to her room and went to her bed with the envelope. She opens it and saw the note. 

To the Dear Karen, 

You have been one of the stuborness lady I have ever met that has been making an effort to dodge all of my rejections to you. You have been so kind to me. I have told you that you would be in danger as well as your brothers but you still wanted to be my friend. You are truly a brave girl I wish I could be your friend but I am a person that is not allowed to have friends. 

Karen you must understand that the last time I had friends I made sure I was at a distance that I could seem friendly and at the same time I was not hurting them at all. I was so afraid of my abilities and what I could do. I don't want to kill anyone or end anyone but for some reason that is one of my gifts. I noticed after a few years that my human friends were growing too fast and they are so fragile. I made too many human friends and had to watch all of them grow up some of them were growing happily living to what they wanted others suffered. All of them died a death and I went to every one of those funerals. After awhile I felt alone and decided it was time for me to stop trying to become human and just stay away from the pain and not to go to anymore funerals. 

At the time in the park while I was healing you I wished you a good life and hope that you knew what to do with yourself. I didn't think that you would try to look for the monster that has healed you from your death. You are so kind to try to persuade me to become friends with me and I hope you can forgive me when I turned you. I know you wanted to be human for a bit longer but you were tortured and almost became another of the ritual and I am at fault with that. Please forgive me and if we meet again I hope you ask me to be your friend again. Who knows I might say yes this time....

Tell Henry that I might have given him a chance if things were different but now it is already decided. He will meet his special someone and as for William. Well he should just be himself and he will find someone else. Trust me. As for you Karen I think it will be best if I can bend one of my rules and tell you something about the future. Call it a farewell gift from me. You will meet your partner sooner than you think and he will be in love with you first and then you'll become married. You'll have some rough spots but doesn't every relationship have that? Again I wish you luck in life.

Karen placed the letter back in to the envelope and put it on the desk. She knew that Rita was doing everything she could to make sure she was not hurting anyone but she was doing a bit of a bad job when she says good bye. It ws not a good bye for Karen. That night she swore that they will see Rita again and they would not let her go when that time came.
