At school everybody was acting strange, coming up to me and hugging me until they leave with apologetic smiles. No one said anything though. I guess news goes around fast. While I was walking to my classroom when I got tackled to the ground by a screaming someone. I was about to start screaming myself when I realized who it was. Pheonix. I have never been so happy to see someone before. To be honest, Pheonix was probably the only person in the world that would know the dumbest yet most creative ways to cheer me up when I'm at my lowest point. It's always been that way. He was hugging me tightly and kissing my face all over. I smiled shyly. He took my hand and led us to our class, where I just sat and daydreamed till classes ended.

While I was walking back to St. Hershel, the orphanage, Pheonix ran to my side; he took my hand and stopped me from walking.

"Red, you okay?"

"Not really, but Jasmine said I'll get used to it."

"Do you want to come over to my house, we can have fun and play and I'll tell my Mommy to make your favorite cake for you. I know how much you love Red Velvet." He smiled.

"Okay but I want to go back so I can leave my bag there and so I can tell Jasmine, do you want to come with me?"

"Yes. Lets go, Red." I laughed when he said it in a pirate-y voice. We walked back and I went upstairs quickly to put my bag down, when I saw a note on my bed. I opened it and it had a picture of me, Mommy, and Daddy. We were at Disney Land and I was sitting on Daddy's shoulders while Mommy had her arms around him. That day was one of the best days ever. The note said, "Thought you'd like to keep this. Love you, kiddo." I was surprised when there was no name on it because the handwriting looked exactly like Daddy's. But that's impossible. This doesn't make sense. I remembered that Pheonix was waiting for me downstairs so I quickly kissed the picture and sit it down under my bed.

I went back downstairs and saw Pheonix waiting patiently while Jasmine was talking to Lilly, probably telling her that Pheonix was here. I went over to Pheonix and told him I was ready to go, when Jasmine put down the phone I told her I was going to Pheonix's, she nodded and we left. We walked to Pheonix's house just talking about anything and everything.

When we arrived Pheonix knocked on the door and Lilly opened it welcoming us with hugs and kisses. He is so lucky. I love Lilly, she is like a second Mommy to me. She helps me with all my problems when Mommy isn't around. I'm pretty used to Lilly so I don't think I'll have a hard time getting over this whole situation in a few years time. Hopefully, I mean.

I looked up at the fireplace mantle clock and saw it's almost time for me to go to bed for school the next morning. I've been at Pheonix's house for at least four hours so it was getting pretty late. In the next fifteen minutes Jasmine was already here to pick me up. We walked back in silence and the entire time she was holding my hand tightly and walking a bit too quickly. Once we reached the orphanage she led me upstairs to my bedroom and shut the door behind her. I got my pj's and headed to the bathroom to change. I changed my clothes and brushed my teeth, and when I was done I headed back to my room and saw Jasmine sitting patiently on my bed waiting for me while playing with her fingers.

"Hey Honey, you ready for bed?" She asked looking up and sniffling a bit.

"Jasmine? Are you okay?" I said climbing up to my bed.

"Yeah. I just miss your mom that's all. C'mon, hop up." She replied, hiding her sad face with a pearly, white smile.

"I miss her too. And Daddy." I said, sadly. I looked down at my fingers and I felt my eyes well up.

"It's okay baby. Everything will be okay." She hugged me tightly and I bit my bottom lip hard.

"No it won't be okay!'" I yelled, crying.

"Shhh. Just calm down honey." I kept crying in her arms until I felt my eyes getting heavier and after that I just let the sleep take over me. Hoping the past couple of days were some twisted, sick dream to wake up out of the next morning.
