Chapter 6 - The Plan
Alison's POV
Lana Smith
Laura Smith
Grettan Smith
My mind kept running through the cycle of names as though it had just discovered how babies were born. I tossed and turned in my bed all night, just wondering what I was supposed to do. I had to tell Brian, but how were we supposed to summon a witch into the castle?
Morning came around quickly, I got dressed and made my way towards school. A school where the grand-daughter of my enemy lay. I had gotten myself into something big and dangerous, and there was no backing out now.
I walked down the lonely corridors of my empty school deep in thought. Arriving my tutor room, I spotted Laura sitting towards the back of the class, as always. Maybe I should talk to her. Or not. Or yes. I mentally slapped myself and walked towards the seat next to Paisley.
"Well hello there losty. Where have you been? You haven't called me these past few days. I'm starting to think you've got a new best friend." She commented.
"Hey, I'm sorry, I've just been really busy with my history project and stuff" And you know, helping a 459 year old cursed Prince Vampire break a curse. Oh and by the way, Laura Smith is a witch. I thought to myself as she continued to speak. I spaced out and soon the bell rang, signalling first period. And I had History, great.
I walked up to the classroom and noticed that Laura was walking the same way. A sudden plan came to mind and I marched up to her, ready to talk.
"Hey Laura!" I exclaimed. She smiled and shot me a small wave. "So, what topic did you get for the project?" I started casually.
"The Chernobyl Disaster. What about you?" I smiled, this was my chance.
"The Warwick Castle" Her face paled. Gotcha! She masked it off quickly and faked a smile.
"That's an interesting topic. What have you found out so far?"
"Well, something about a currse on a castle. I was actually planning on going to the castle to check it out. Maybe snap a few pictures" I commented. I could see her inner panic as she silently nodded and ran into the classroom.
Class finished quickly with the constant talking of my teacher and my daydreaming. I was on my way to my next class when my phone started buzzing in the hallway. I dashed into the empty bathrooms and locked myself in a stall, picking up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hello Alison, it's Brian" I heard the Prince say through the phone; his accent posh as always.
"Hey Brian. Is something wrong?"
"No, not at all. I just thought I should try the new device you gave me out. And why are you whispering?" I hadn't even realized I was whispering until he pointed it out.
"Oh sorry, I'm in school that's why. Listen, I found something. More like someone"
"Who?"
"I found Lana Smith."

I walked inside the Library nervousely heading straight towards the counter, where Lana Smith sat, reading a book silently. The phone call with Brian, hadn't gone as I expected it to. He...vampired out and I had to hang up on him before he exploded my phone.
"Hi" I said, my voice barely making it out of my mouth.
"Hi, you're back!" She exclaimed happily. I faked a smile and approached her slowly.
"Yeah. I was wondering if you could tell me anything about the Warwick Castle" Like Laura, her face went a cold white as she coughed and covered her suprise with a fake smile.
"Not really, I'm afraid. But I'm sure the books will help you" I nodded, this is it.
"I guess I'll go check the castle out myself tomorrow then" I faked. I could see her previous reaction come back and I mentally high fived myself. I turned around and walked out the door of the Library, straight towards the Castle.
"Will you calm down Brian?" I yelled for the billionth time in ten minutes. The Castle was not in good shape when I had arrived. Tables and chairs were flying away, blood bags were all over the place and Brian was pacing like a phsychotic killer on the loose.
"How am I supposed to calm down. That woman's mother cursed me and kept me locked up for 436 years! And now you're telling me to calm down. I'll kill her!" His face angered up again and I dashed up to him and placed my hands on his shoulders.
"Stop! Listen to me. Hey! Listen to me!" I yelled, gaininng his attention. " I know that this woman made your life hell, but killing her will not free you from the curse Brian. You need her. So calm down and think straight. I'm with you alright?" He relaxed a little and I let go of him, placing myself on a seat next to him.
Moments of silence passed by us before he broke it off.
"Why are you doing this?" I looked at him curiousley.
"Doing what?"
"Helping me?" I was taken off guard with his question. The truth was, I had no idea why I was helping him.
"I just... don't think you deserve to live like this" I replied, putting my head down.
"How do you know that? Maybe I do. You don't know what I was like back then" I looked back up into his eyes and saw nothing but honesty and kindness in them.
"Despite your past, nobody deserves to live like this" I saw a smile form on his face and I soon mirrored it.
Suddenly, a sound emerged from outside. We both got off our chairs and followed the source of the sound.
It was the sound of the front door opening...
