Epilogue

Alison's POV

5 years later...

Positive.

It was positive. I blinked again and again, making sure that I had read the sign on the stick correctly. I blinked again, holding my eyes shut for longer this time. I opened them. Still positive. My brain froze, and so did my body. I was going to be a mother. And Brian a father. Suddenly my emotions changed, as I brought my eyes down to my stomach, looking at my flat stomach, inside which lay a baby. A baby that was mine, and would some day come out of me. I lifted my hand and placed it on my stomach, instantly feeling something change inside of me. In a matter of seconds, my initial shock had turned into happiness, and my love for an unknown baby was already present. All the thoughts that could have possibly invaded my mind to make my mood change were gone; I didn't care that I was only 22 years old, or that Brian and I weren't even married, or that I had only recently gotten a job that I would have to quit soon to take care of this baby. Nothing mattered, it was just us and the baby. I realised that I was smiling all to myself in a bathroom alone. I tucked the pregnancy test into my pocket and walked out the bathroom, heading downstairs towards the living room.

After I graduated high school, I moved into an apartment of my own, with Brian by my side. I studied at the University College London and had recently graduated, getting a job as a history teacher in one of the private shcools of London. I was happy with my life, with Brian. It had been 5 years since the war, 5 years since Brian was finally free from his curse and from the evil witch. But those problems were just history.

I arrived the last step, my eyes still shining into thin air, my mind thinking about the good news. As I stepped into the dark living room, my eyes fell upon the pathway of candles illuminated on the floor, leading towards Brian who stood at the other end, next to a fancy decorated dinner table wearing a suit that accentuated every muscle in his body. I gasped, walking down the pathway, getting to my boyfriend.

"What is all of this for?" I questioned as I got to him. His smile extended, as he got down on one knee. My eyes got bigger as I realised his intentions.

"5 years ago, a beast was locked up in a cell, thirsty and lifeless as a vampire. One day, a young lady walked into the castle, with nothing but intentions on gathering information about the castle and the history behind it, but on doing so, she unleashed the beast that lay within the walls of the castle. The beast attacked her, drank from her, drained her. But the very next day, she came back, with food for the beast, and a clean heart, a helpful heart, a kind soul. She offered to help him at all costs, putting her own life in danger to save a beasts. And with whatever strength she could, she kept her word. A beauty saved the cursed beast. And this beast will forever love his beauty for as long as she lives, even in death. I have known you for five years, but I loved you since the day I met you, I knew that you were the one who could save me. You are my reason for existence and I want to spend the rest of my free life with you, repaying you and providing you with all the happiess in this world. I love you Alison Stones. My beauty, will you marry this beast?" I wiped the tears that had fallen from my eyes, my heart melting at his words.

The truth is that no matter what obstacles life puts in front of you, they all happen for a reason. Picking out the Warwick Castle as a history project brought me to something most other people would have thought was a real monster, but to me, he was a man, a real man with a soul. A soul I wanted to bound with my own. I had walked into the castle with different intentions, but I thank god with whatever happened, because I wouldn't have it any other way.

"Yes" Instantly, I was dragged off my feet as he picked me up, hugging me and tossing me around. Our laughter filled the room, joy and happiness filling the air. As soon as he dropped me back down, his lips connected with mine in a love-filled kiss.

"I love you so much" he said as we parted and he leaned his head against mine. That's when I remembered.

"Brian, I have to tell you something" His expression changed as he looked at me. I slowly pulled out the test from my pocket, handing it to him. He took it, examining the stick, his eyes widening.

"You're pregnant?" he questioned, looking straight into my eyes. I nodded slowly, before an extended smile appeared on his face, instnantly filling me with relief, and I was once again, embraced into a huge hug, as he span me off my feet. "I love you so damn much Alison, so much"

"I love you too" I replied as he bent down, placing his hands on my stomach.

"And I love you too my little baby" he said, kissing my stomach repeatedly.

"Little Brian Jr." I commented, making his eyes fly to mine.

"How do you know?" I smirked, looking straight at him.

"Mother's intuition"

He hugged me again, never leaving my side.

He was my hero, my fiancé, my future husband, the father of my child, my Prince, my beast, and I was his beauty, because those tales that we were told as a kid were not all false, and a beauty could find her beast. I certainly did.
