Prove it Dan

Realization

Dan was losing sleep over the argument they had. He was worried about Phil.
He just left 3 days ago and hasn't called or updated his Facebook yet.
Dan was still confused about this but knew how Phil felt. He wants to make him happy but society makes him hide away all these feelings. Dan put on his coat and ran to the car. He wanted to make things right.
Phil was laying on the bed thinking about asking Dan to pick him up.. but he wasn't ready to see him. Chris came in and his eyes widened.

"I'm sorry about that kiss, i wasn't. thinking." Chris said

Phil nodded and Chris left the room.
A knock was on the door and Phil went to answer it. He opened the door and a raggedy, sleep deprived Dan appeared. They stood there before Dan said
"Listen, I'm sorry for not listening to you and blocking you out. I was focused on everyone else but you. You're the most important person to me Phil."
Tears welled in Phil's eyes and Dan wiped them away. They walked out the apartment together, hand in hand.
Before they went home, Dan drove to the coffee shop for hot chocolate.
As the two walked in Dan held his hand. Phil's heart raced and he looked around. Some stared lovingly and others stared with hate. Phil smiled at Dan and Dan smiled back.
They ordered two hot chocolates and sat down. It was quiet besides chatter and beverage making. Dan looked at Phil with all the love in his heart and kissed him. Right there in front of everyone to see. Some awws some ewws went by as they went back to holding hands.
"Phil"?
"Yes"?
"I love you"
"I love you too Dan"
