Truth or dare

We were all getting ready for the MTV music awards and we were running later as per usual. Nathan is still in the shower, Jay’s lost his phone, Sophie’s fake eyelashes keep falling off and Kat has lost one of her shoes. So while Logan was helping Kat find her missing shoe, Kelsey was helping Sophie stick her eyelashes back on and the boys were finishing getting ready and looking for Jay’s phone I went to get Nathan out of the shower. “NATHAN JAMES SYKES IF YOU DON’T GET OUT OF THAT SHOWER RIGHT NOW WE’RE GOING WITHOUT YOU” I shouted... no response “AND NO SEX FOR A WEEK” I added and waited as I heard the water shut of and Nath appeared at the door, “fin- wow” he said as his mouth dropped open, “good now your out of the shower, close your mouth go get ready, I’ve laid your clothes out on the bed ready” I said and pointed to the bedroom, following him in, “your a star thanks babe. And you look amazing!” he smiled and kissed me on the head, careful not to rub any of my makeup onto him. I sorted out his tie whilst he did his hair and we were soon ready to go.

“where was your phone in the end?” I asked Jay as I climbed into the limo, “erm... in my pocket” he said and dropped his head in ‘shame’, that caused us all to burst out laughing, “only you bird” I winked, “and Kat where was your shoe?” I asked her, “under the bed” she said, “where you normally leave your shoes...” I said, “yep” she said. Oh, Kat.

We arrived outside the venue and all got out one by one, starting With Jayne and Kev then Tom, Kelsey, Max, Sophie, Jay, Jodie, Nath, Me, Siva, Nareesha, Logan and then finally Kat. We were all aloud a plus ones so Jayne and Kev brought Kat and Logan so they didn’t get left behind and I just didn’t bring a plus one. We walked up the red carpet in the same fashion as we left the limo and stayed in our twos. The boys had to do some photos by themselves and I had to do a few with them and on my own which was weird but nice at the same time. When we finally go inside we got a table pretty close to the stage which was good.

“And the winner for best collaboration is...” we waited anxiously as they did the long suspense in the middle, “The Wanted and Beth Harris!” I CANT BELIEVE IT! WE WON! We all got up and hugged and congratulated each other before heading up on stage and saying a quick speech and returning back to our seats. I cant believe I won an award, let alone for a song I wrote myself just to distract myself. I never would have imagined this in my whole life, its a truly fantastic feeling.

After the award ceremony there was an after party we went to which was AMAZING! I met so many amazing artists such as Adele, Taylor Swift, Peter Andre, Katy Perry, Jessie J and so many it was so wonderful, I was completely star struck, Nathan probably got really embarrassed. Some girl started hitting on Logan which earned her some pretty stern words from me and she got really scared and left which was hilarious and apart from that it was one of the best nights of my life. I danced with Peter Andre and he was like the loveliest guy you will ever meet I swear! I also danced with Jessie J which was hilarious because we were so drunk we kept falling over each other and me and Nath danced a lot till the end when my feet hurt so much, Nath gave me his shoes to wear and walked in just his socks and carried my heels for me which was so sweet I thanked him that night.

The next day we were leaving for a week holiday to the Bahamas as we all had a week off work and me Kelsey and Kat hadn’t started back at K2K yet for the summer term so we were free. We woke up at about 4:30am which was torture and we were all really moody and arguing with each other and Tom fell asleep spread face down on the floor and we all had to walk over him. “Who’s idea was this?” Jay groaned, “YOURS” we all shouted, “oh right... yeah. Oops” he giggled, “yeah, oops” I glared at him and he quickly looked away and carried on eating his cereal.

We all gathered our luggage and threw it into the back of the van and fell into the van and all fell asleep almost instantly and slept all the way there until Kev woke us up with an air horn which wasn’t appreciated, “knew this would come in useful” he laughed as we all held onto our ears and recovered from the mini heart attacks.
