Harry and I were finally working things out. We were happy. Heck, we were too happy that even hopeless romantic Rachel finds it sickening whenever Harry joins us for lunch. Before, she used to comment on how I hardly ever smile. Now, she complains about how I look crazy with that seemingly permanent smile on my face all the time.

I'd have to admit. Being this happy all the time was scary, but he has this way of making me forget all my fears. All he has to do is flash me his pearly whites and give me a hug and I instantly feel better.

Yes, I just said a hug makes me feel better.

I never thought I'd ever say that ever, but look at me now, I'm on my way into becoming a hugger just a week after my first hug from Harry. I now understand why other people like hugs so much. In fact, I wouldn't mind getting a hug right now.

"Veronica!" My mother snapped her fingers in my face, snapping me back to reality. "Did you understand what I was saying?"

"Uh, yeah. Yeah, I got it, mom." I nodded my head.

"What did I last tell you?" She asked me, crossing her arms.

What were we talking about again?

Oh right, the annual Rockefeller Charity Carnival that lasts three days. Usually, the charity carnival is done in Hamptons, but due to some unforeseen events, this year's charity carnival was done in New Jersey.

"Uhh..." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked away, trying to remember what my mom was instructing me.

"Veronica, we really need you to be at your best today as assistant program manager." She sighed, massaging her temples. "I knew this would happen so I got someone to help you."

Oh, gosh. Who did she get? Please tell me it's not Genevieve. I'd much rather get run over by a roller coaster than work side by side with that girl.

"Hello, Mrs. Rockefeller!" Drew beamed behind me, walking towards my mom and giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Of course. How could I possibly forget he's back?

My mother absolutely adores Drew. She adores him so much, she didn't even mind it when I pranked her on my 15th birthday with positive results on a pregnancy stick and I claimed Drew was the father. Hell, she cried happy tears, telling everyone at home that she's having a grandson and a golden boy for a son-in-law. I didn't even think about the gender of my fake future kid when I pranked her. She also cried the most tears when we broke up.

"Oh, Andrew! God knows how thankful we are to have you on board," my mother cheerfully spoke. "Veronica here was just asking when you'd be arriving. Right, Veronica?"

"Uh, no? I didn't even know he was going to be here." I furrowed my eyebrows and turned on my heel, making my way towards the exit of the big tent where all the organizers and volunteers were meeting.

"Veronica, manners!"

"It's alright, Mrs. Rockefeller. I will talk to her," Drew kindly said. "Ronnie! Wait up!"

"Hi, Drew." I plainly spoke, stepping outside of the tent.

"I'm sorry for what just happened inside." He gave me an apologetic smile as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"It's fine," I gave him a small smile, "I know it's my mother's idea. If anyone should be apologizing, it's me because she just made that whole thing awkward for you."

"What? No, it wasn't awkward at all. I don't mind hanging out with you again. I did miss you," he grinned.

"Oh... thanks." I pursed my lips, heading towards the kissing booth to check if the person assigned for that booth was prepared for when we open the carnival for that day, which was happening in an hour. "I hope you don't take offense, but are you here because of me?" I asked, facing him.
