The Truth Comes Out

Chapter 9

This could'nt be true could it? Things like that, like him, just don't exist. Are vampires real? And if they are will Damon kill me? Will Makenzie? I need to talk to him Elena thought to herself. I have to.

Walking to school was different today. Scary. The fact knowing that your friend might possibly be a vampire was terrifying, Elena thought to herself again. All she knew was that she had to confront Damon about this. The truth lies with him she thought.

Walking to lunch Elena knew it was time. Know more avoiding him. I have to just say it. "I need to talk to you Damon", Elena lip whispered coldly to Damon while staring him down in the lunch room. As Elena got up gracefully to go out to the parking lot so did Damon. Following behind her.

"You know after your 'blonde haired friend' came in saying," You brought a snack.", I should have known.", Elena said this to Damon. "You don't go out in the sunlight... you don't eat or drink anything... and one day you will have these, these light blue eyes, and then the next day they will be green. If Primrose weakens you and then a wooden stake through your heart kills you, you can only be one thing.", Elena said this taking her time. "Say it... Outloud... Say it!", Damon replyed back. As Elena turned to look at him she opened her mouth and said, " Vampire." . "Are you afraid?", Damon said forcefully. "No.", Elena replyed back."Well you should be.", Damon said rudely. "Why? I know you wont hurt me. Damon I trust you.", Elena said. "Because if a Vampire ever finds a Guardian then he or she must kill them immediately." , Damon said. "Damon I am not a Guardian. I don't even know what that is." . "Elena you are a Guardian. Once a Normal from the Genevieve family branch figures out what we are..." , Damon said pausing, " then they become Guardians."

"So all because I am a Guardian... I what? Turn into Spider-Man? Batman? Come on Damon give me something better than that.", Elena said sarcastlicy. "You still don't understand do you? Elena Guardians kill Vampires and demons. They kill us... which means you and your family will kill me.", Damon said. "Damon. My family, they want to kill you. They want to hurt you with Primrose. They want to drive a wooden stake through your heart. But Damon you have my word. I will never hurt you. I promise." , Elena said this half crying. Just before Damon began to speak he pulled her into a tight hug.Just then did Elena feel his muscles. And his cold pale skin. It felt as though Elena had been hugging a porcleain doll that was in the cold weather for too long. But it did'nt feel bad. It felt nice. Like Elena knew she finnaly belonged in a world filled with mystery and love. "I know you will not hurt me Elena. Plus your powers have not come in yet." , Damon said sarcastlicy.

And just as Elena pulled away from their hug Damon looked her into the eyes and said, " Elena I would never hurt you. Elena I think... I ... I think love you." . And right after this he planted a soft kiss on Elena's pink lips. A kiss that would last a lifetime.

And there they were sitting in Damon's big house all alone......
