The Dream

Chapter 15

     ~It was hot out. Elena could feel it all around her. It reminded her of the other day when she was at Damon's house. It was so humid she felt sticky and gross. But my hands, Elena thought to herself, their cold. This couldn't be could it? Am I a vampire? She thought to herself. Wait who did I kill? And suddenly Elena felt cold air on her neck and when she turned around she saw Damon. "Oh good Damon it's just you.", Elena said with a smile. But as Elena did she turned to her left and saw the huge pile of bodies with blood all over them. And as she did this she looked down at her hands and they were covered in blood too. And when she looked up slowly, she saw that she had put a huge wooden sword  through Damons chest. Suddenly everything became clear Elena had chosen her path she had become...~

     "AAAHHHHHH!!!!", Elena screamed as she woke up from her dream.

     " Elena, what is it are you okay?", Elena's mother had said.

     " Mom? Wow, I can't believe your the one waking me up today normally dad does."

     "Well don't I feel loved Elena.", she said with a  little laugh.

     "I love you mom."

     "Yes, I sure hope you do. Anyways come on lazy bones get up or you'll be late for school.", Elena's mom said.

     "And your driving me too? Wow mom!", Elena said cheerfully.

     And with that Elena got up and headed for the shower. The morning was slow but when she finally was in the car with her mom she knew she had something to look forward too. School. This was only a happy thought because she knew she'd get to see Damon. This made her smile alittle bit. Then it got cut off by the thought of her killing Damon like the dream she had last night.

     "So Elena, I need to speak with you."

     "Yes mother, what is it?"

     "I understand that Damon. Mr.Damon Elliott. Has been trying to talk to you and I am telling you right now stay away Elena!", mother said loudly.

     "Mom you can't tell me what to do I already have had the dreams.", Elena replied back. But just as she said it she knew she shouldn't have. Why did I just say that she thought? Now mom knows. She knows how much knowledge Elena knows about vampires.  About The Counsel and even about The Guardians. Oh great she thought here comes the big fight with mother. But instead there was no tears or yelling or screaming. There was just astonishment.

    "Oh Elena, I can't believe this. It has never happened in such a long time.", mother said.

     "What?"

     "Elena,  your path your destiny everything will rely on one thing.  And that is your first kill; either vampire or Guardian. Listen to me Elena it is very important that you do not kill anybody do you understand ANYBODY. You need to become a Guardian, like your father and me, not one of those things.", mother said disgusted.

     "But what happenes if I don't want to become a Guardian what happenes if I want to become something else?", Elena replied casually.

     When mom heard this she almost slammed on the brakes.

     " Elena Genevieve! Do not ever speak of wanting to become one of them. A vampire. Do you understand? Never ever!", mother screamed.

     "Yes mom I understand."

     And with that mom parked the car and Elena got out to go to school. All Elena  could think about was the long day ahead and about her destiny. But one thing she knew for sure was not to get in any situation where death is the outcome.  

     When Elena turned to her right she saw Damon walking toward her and she met him halfway. The both walked into school together. 

     Elena, still disobeying mothers instructions....
