CHPTR 3 - THE RIGHT CHOICE

It had been a week. This whole week was so peaceful without any emergency call from my grandfather or any disruption from Aunt Hwa Sa. That morning, I decided to have a walk at a park near my rent house. Even though I'm from a wealthy family, but our relation are distant. So, after I graduated from high school, I talked about living outside of our family mansion to my grandfather and he seems to agree with it. So he presents me with my own café but I need to manage my own expenses. So far everything is good.

While I was busy sightseeing suddenly a black car approach me. From the car, I could see Secretary Yoo are calling me in the car. "We have something to be discussed. Can we stop at your café?" ask Secretary Yoo inside the car through the window. I get in the car and we talked about Grandpa's health along our journey. Secretary Yoo is a trusty old man. He had been my grandfather's man since my grandfather in his 20s. My grandfather always have trust in Secretary Yoo in handling his errands.

In front of Paradise Café, I could see Ye Won and Yo Sub wiping the window while teasing with each other. "Eonni!! What are you doing here? The café is not opened yet. Oh, I see you bring guest with you today. Do you want me to make drinks?" ask Ye Won smiling brightly in front of me. I nodded. Ye Won always know how to make me happy. I welcomed Secretary Yoo inside the café.

"Do you remember about the promised you made at the hospital a week ago?" ask Secretary Yoo.

"The proposal for being the next Chairman of Lee Company? Yes, I do remember it." I said calmly.

"Yes. About the proposal, Mr President have some conditions for you to become the next Chairman of Lee Company." Says Secretary Yoo.

"What is it?" I asked anxiously. "You have to train yourself first. You will become a temporary CEO of Big Hit entertainment. But before you can be the CEO, you have to become a manager of a group idol. This is to train your management with people. Since you have agreed to the proposal, there is nothing more to decline. I will sent Hyeon to help you to meet the band and making contracts with them." Explained Secretary Yoo. "If I become the manager of a group idol, how about Paradise Café?" I asked. "I'm sorry, but you have to close your Café. This is to make sure your schedules are not mixed up." Said secretary Yoo. Ye Won dropped the drinks she made for us on the floor. She was running to the kitchen while crying. She must heard us. The chocolate drinks spilled and stained my café's floor.

"I'm sorry for what happen but in 1 hour Hyeon will be here and pick you up for the meeting with the band idol. I will be off then." Said secretary Yoo calmly. As soon he lose from my sight, I went to the kitchen with heavy steps. Truthfully, I'm a little heartbroken when I heard the café has to be closed. This café gave me feelings. As if the café is alive. I heard someone sobbing beside the refrigerator. I embrace Ye Won in my arms. "Paradise Café will never be closed right?" ask Ye Won, sobbing. I shakes my head. I myself also have no answer for that question. "No! Paradise café will never be closed. This café bring people happiness. Remember our motto? 'Your Café Can Be Someone's Paradise'" I said. We finally break our embrace and start cleaning for breakfast hour. Ye Won never asked me about what happen then as it was nothing and we start our business smoothly.

Hyeon came 5 minutes earlier. I was busy preparing coffees to my customers. I saw Hyeon standing outside of the door. I asked Yo Sub to continue my works. I went outside and greet Hyeon. "Let's get ready. You have to meet the band in 15 minutes." Says Hyeon. I was about to follow Hyeon to his car suddenly Ye Won hugged Hyeon's legs. "Please keep Paradise Café, don't close it. I love working here. I will work harder. Please..." begged Ye Won. I put Ye Won on a chair outside of the café. She was sobbing with tears flowing through her pinkie cheeks. I patted her back softly as I signed Hyeon to sit on the chair next to me. "I think you have to go by your own. I have to stay here with Ye Won. She is having hard time right now. Just agreed with anything they want. I trust you Hyeon." I said. Hyeon can't disobeyed me so he just nodded and went to meet the boy band himself.
