"O cheer up sab! It's just a lunch." Mandy playfully hit my shoulders. We were heading to the dinner across the streets while Mandy continues to enlighten me with her brilliant plan. Note sarcasm. Thankfully, my dad's car is already fix that's why I can use mine and the reason why we are in my car this instance.

"o cheer up sab. blah blah blah" i mimicked her voice and i saw from my peripheral vision that she rolled her eyes. I know I'm over reacting with this simple lunch but I just can't help it. Avan just get me so distracted and makes me totally forget my mystery guy for the moment which I totally like or hate. See? He makes me confuse as well.

"C'mon Sab? Tell me why you're acting this way. This is so not you?" she shifted position facing me a little bit while seated in front of the car with me. Okay, I give up. Mandy has every right to know. I sigh and glanced at her "Cuz, I get so distracted with Avan," i finished while drumming my fingers on the steering wheel.

"How?" her voice was strain and curiosity was all over her face. Clearly, she didn't get I what I meant.

"He distracts me in every way - the attitude, the smile and hell the LOOKS!" i pointed out making sure that she gets the last part. I saw her shook her head"And you're worried Sab because?" she queried as I saw her eyes widened.

"Because" i pause almost copying her tone "when I'm with him, it's like, he fills the longingness I feel when his" i paused again making sure she got who the his is which is my mystery guy "not around and it seems like I'm forgetting him and I don't want that to happen." i finished still focusing on the road.

"So you're telling me now that you like Avan?" I was really shocked with her question. I must admit it caught me off guard and I don't know what to answer which is totally wrong cause I know I only like one person and that's him no one else but why do I feel butterflies in my stomach with her question.

"N-No!"i stuttered. Way to go sabrina. Stuttering is the best way to hide that you're confuse.

"Really?" she challenged. I really hate it when Mandy knows I'm lying. It took me a while to answer and when I was about to say something I heard her chuckle softly. I know what she's thinking. She thinks she knew what's going through my head which I must say is right.

"Mandy!" i exclaimed.  I need to explain everything but with her doing that nddoing and chuckling and covering her mouth I can't.

"Okay" she paused as she finished her laughter "Explain it to me." wow! Is my best friend a mind reader or something? how did she even knew I needed to explain something.

"And what makes you think I was about to explain ANYthing?" i said making sure I've emphasized the word ANY. She just shook her head and took a deep breathe then looked at me with a weird ... AMUSEMENT? I really don't know what kind of smile she was doing. "Simple. I'm your BEST FRIEND Sab. I just can't believe that after so many years, you still think I dont know you." she finished. Her last words made me guilty, I most definitely know that she knows me very well but what I'm guilty about was lying to her even though I already know she knows what I'm think.

I stopped in front of the dinner and reached the hand break. I took my seat belt off and shook my head.

"I'm sorry Mands! I certainly know that you knew me very well it's just.." i paused and looked down.
