Rise of the Guardians 2

The Dark Crystal

What have I done? I run into a room and go behind the bookshelf. I find the door to my room and go inside. I shut the door behind me and turn the lock. What did I do? I just gave up my heart, my true love. I can never save her. I can't save her. What have I done? What did I do? I flop down on my bed, put my face in the pillow and start crying. I need her in my life. I need to live with her, protect her, love her. I can't live without her.

"Jack?" I hear North yell.

"Jack?" I hear the rest of the Guardians yell "Where are you?" I don't want them to know about what happened to Crystal. I get off the bed, pick up my staff and go into the hallway.

"There you are," Bunny says happily, hopping around the corner.

"Jack" Tooth flies past Bunny and hugs me. "Crystal's gone," she says pulling out of the hug. I, of course, already know this. I pretend not to know.

"What?" I say in shock. I try to hide the knowing of Crystal's disappearance and my sadness. I run into the globe room.

"Where is she?" I yell. I see Pitch standing in the middle of the room. I look back at Bunny, he nods and I nod back. He knows what happened to Crystal, but not where she has been taken.

"Where did you take her?" Bunny yells angrily, backing me up.

"She's right here" Pitch looks behind him. Crystal comes out from behind him.

"Crystal?" I say weakly. She looks different. Her hair is the same and her clothes as well, but her clothes are a different colour. Black dress. She's wearing black lipstick and her eyes are red with a black outline. Her shoes are black and hair clips black snowflakes instead of blue. What has happened to her? What has she become? Crystal isn't Crystal anymore. She's like a monster. I run forwards to her, but she shoots a swirl of black ice. It only just misses me and I stop.

Crystal before evil...

I watch Jack rush out of the room and down the hall. What happened? I black out.

Dark Crystal...

I wake up on a soft red couch. I get up and look down at myself. Black clothing. I like it. I look up at a man. It's Pitch. I smile evilly at him.

"I like my new self," I say darkly.

"Good" Pitch says effectively. I hear someone rush down the hall.

"Get behind me" Pitch smiles.

"Alright," I say obeying. I rush behind him just as the door opens. I turn my back so my back and Pitch's back are almost touching.

"Where is she?" I hear a familiar voice yell. It's Jack. So pathetic.

"What have you done with her?" another pathetic voice yells. Bunny. I roll my eyes.

"She's right here" Pitch looks at me as I turn around. I step out so the Guardians can see me. I smile darkly. I see Jack look at me in horror.

"Crystal?" Jack says weakly. He looks me up and down, then he runs towards me. I shoot out a swirl of black ice, trying to protect myself. It misses him, but only just. He stops and looks at me in horror and disappointment. What happened? I can't control myself. Sometimes I think I'm doing the right thing, other times I think I'm doing something wrong but do it anyway. I can, however, control my speech at times.

"Kill them," Pitch says evilly and then disappears.

"Crystal, please" Jack scaredly, backing off slowly.

"Jack," I say scaredly "I can't control myself. You need to run" I walk forward slowly and get ready to fire.

"JACK!" Tooth screams as the rest of the Guardians leave.

"I'm not leaving you Crystal," Jack says scaredly. "I can't leave you"

'He needs to go' I think scaredly 'I'll kill him if he doesn't'

"Please, Jack" I scream scaredly, tears starting to fill my eyes "You need to leave. Come and find me later"

With Jack...

"Kill them," Pitch says darkly. He disappears.

"Crystal please," I say scaredly, backing off. What'll happen to me? I can't die. I have so much to do in life. I need to get out of here.

"Jack," Crystal says scaredly "I can't control myself. You need to run" she walks slowly towards me, getting ready to fire. I realise, I can't leave her. She means too much to me. I need to save her.

"JACK!" Tooth screams behind me, as the rest of the Guardians, leave.

"I'm not leaving you, Crystal," I say scaredly "I can't leave you" Crystal pauses and looks at me.

"Please, Jack" Crystal screams scaredly as I see tears fill her eyes "You need to leave. Come and find me later"

"I can't leave you," I say quietly, starting to cry.

"You have to, Jack," she says showing her sadness "I'll kill you if you don't and I don't want to kill you"

"Please -" I start, but something grabs my arm. I look behind me. Tooth. I try to struggle away from her. She puts her arms around my stomach and pulls me away from Crystal. I struggle to get out of her grasp.

"Crystal!" I scream helplessly "Please, Tooth. Let go of me!"

"No" she barely says from all of my weight. I keep struggling. She eventually pulls me into a secret room behind an invisible door. She lets go of me and locks the door.

"Crystal" I yell and run forward, trying to get through the door "Open it" I stop and look at the Guardians.

"No, Jack" Bunny snaps at me "We need to find a way out of the workshop"

"But Crystal -"

"Will be fine, Jack" Tooth interrupts gently "We need to find a way out and then we'll save her"

"Promise me" I yell angrily "Promise me she'll be safe" no one answers and keeps staring at me apologetically "Promise me"

"We can't promise anything, Jack," North says gently "But we will try to save her"

"Fine," I say turning my back "I don't need your help anyway"

"Jack," North says protectively "Please. We will get her -"

"No," I say angrily but quietly "I don't need your help" I open the window forcefully and zip out of it. I need to find Crystal. I zoom back into the globe room and look around. She's gone. I fly back up out of the building. I zoom into the forest. I go deeper into the forest than I've ever gone before. I stop, land and look at my surroundings. I don't know this part of the forest. I think I'm lost. I hear a rustle behind me. I whip around, scared. What was it? I whip back around. Where am I? I hear the rustle again. I turn around and slowly walk towards the bush. I push the branches out of the way and something leaps out at me. It knocks me onto my back and then gets off of me. I stand up and look at the figure. It's Crystal.

"Crystal," I say rushing forward, but then I back off. She's aiming right at me.

"Run Jack" she whispers tearily "Please"

"No," I say scaredly "I'm not leaving you" I focus my attention on her outstretched hand. "Just don't shoot"

"I'm trying my best not to," she says even more scared than I am. I know I need to get out of here, but I can't leave Crystal like this. What should I do? She'll kill me if I stay, but she's scared. I can't leave her. I hear something else in the bush, behind Crystal. I look around Crystal. What was it? She whips herself around. I try to ignore what I heard and jump on top of her. She struggles to get off me.
