Rise of the Guardians 2

What Was It?

I wake up slowly, still on the snow. I look around. The shadow and Pitch are gone. Who, or what, was it? I try to fly upwards, but a pain rips through my chest. It was where I was hit. I scream, lying back down. I hear something in a tree, not far from where I am. I ignore it. Tears fill my eyes. My head hurts. Why was I hit? It saved me, so why did it hit me? The tears run down my face. I roll up into a ball. I hear the rustle again. I see something fall out of the tree. I roll over and make myself comfortable. If I'm gonna die here I might as well be comfortable. My head hurts even more and I feel hot. I close my eyes as I hear something coming towards me from behind. I don't care. I feel hot, my head hurts, I was shot in the chest, but thankfully not the heart. I might as well let that thing kill me now and let it be over and done with. A quick death is much better than a slow one. I feel a hand on my head. A cold hand. It soothes me. I want it to stay on my head forever, but it lets go. I feel myself getting rolled over and then a head on my chest. It lifts me up. I feel myself getting carried somewhere. I open one of my eyes a tiny little bit. I'm flying. I'm super scared. I roll over to make myself comfortable. The person drops me and before I know it, I'm plummeting down to the ground. I open my eyes widely. I try to fly. I hurt a lot. My powers aren't working. I let myself fall. I flip over slowly. I see the figure. I stare in shock. I don't want to die now. He saved me. Jack saved me. Now I know who it was. It was Jack that hurt me. Jack that saved me. Jack that fell out of the tree. It all makes sense. My head sears with pain. I groan. Jack flies down and catches me. I hug him tightly. He hugs me back. Jack takes me back up to the empty room. He puts me down on the floor. I don't want to let go.

"You have to let go, Crystal" he whispers gently. I don't want to, but I do. I curl up into a ball.

"What's wrong?" he says worriedly. He feels my head. "You're so hot" he groans "I'm going to get help"

"No" I barely whisper "I want you to stay here"

"I need to go get help," he says worriedly "If I don't, you'll die"

"But -"

"No buts" he cuts me off. He runs off and I'm left here alone.

Meanwhile...

Jack bursts into the globe room.

"Jack," says North happily "Where were you?"

"It doesn't matter right now" he quickly says

"Matter?" North laughs "Of course it matters"

"Not now -" Jack starts

"Yes now, Jack," says North angrily.

"North" Tooth says angrily "Let Jack speak. What's wrong Jack?"

"It's Crystal" he starts

"Crystal?" Tooth and Bunny say at once

"What's wrong with her?" Bunny says worriedly

"Something's wrong," Jack says worriedly "She feels hot and she says her head hurts"

"Well, why are we standing here?" Bunny yells heroically "Let's go help her" They rush into the empty room.

Back to Crystal...

I hear someone running outside the door. Jack bursts into the room. Thank goodness. Jack runs over to me.
