After about a ten minute walk, Ellie arrived past the small homes and shops to the campus of Georgetown University. The college opened its doors in 1789, as the signs reminded her. It looked like a giant cathedral, because it was one of the oldest Catholic colleges in the US. Ellie wasn't too much of a religious person though, so she had been more interested in the education matters freshman year. Though the building did look nice, and there were plenty of green spaces where she could sit down. If for some reason she didn't feel like walking the couple blocks to her house. Plus there was a large library.

It took Ellie another fifteen minutes to get inside and race towards her arts class. She needed something to fall back on if the history thing didn't work. No everyone could work that Indiana Jones lifestyle. But this was one of the classes she enjoyed. Until we had started doing pottery, and no matter how hard she scrubbed, Ellie still got clay on her hands. She handed her pass to Professor Logan, and sat down in one of the empty seats. Mar turned her head and gave her one of those "where have you been looks" Ellie in turn mimicked barfing motions. Mar could see through her bull though, she'd read enough of her lab reports to see it from the top of the Empire State Building.

Ellie realized that everyone else was working. She grabbed a large lump of clay and started in vain to try and shape it with her hands. She had preferred when they were doing sketching. At least then she could get away with bad skills, because they had only been sketches. Now she was getting frustrated as she worked with her lumpy mess. Part of the reason why this wasn't working was because she was still sore from her fall. Plus the thought of all the work she missed while out with Tessa made her stomach turn.

It had been fun though, she had to admit. She never thought she'd end up walking through a weird looking market or ever hang out with a girl like Tessa. Besides being rude and authoritative, part of Ellie hoped her watch would just stay broken. Not forever, God no, but it had been to meet someone new and have a semblance of a roommate again. The whole thing with Alex had been a disaster in hindsight. We should have never moved in together. The only people she ever talked to were Mar and Wheels, and she loved them to death, but she hated third wheeling them all the time.

Ellie was half paying attention to the monstrosity she was molding. She turned head over to where Mar was sitting. Her pottery looked decent, which was a shock. But that didn't matter once the class ended. She could go to history now, with Mar. She waited for her friend outside Professor Logan's classroom. When Mar saw her she glared.

"Well looks like someone couldn't keep her hands out of the cookie jar" she remarked.

"Look I know you're pissed but..."

She was about to defend herself as she walked down the hall, but then she remembered Tessa's rant earlier. If anyone was following Tessa it would go for her of course. But she couldn't let anyone else get hurt, especially her closest friends. So she figured she should just fast forward the conversation away from the black market mess.

"I actually did an extra shift at work, that way I could have enough cash so we could all go out tonight my treat" Ellie lied.

"Really?" Mar questioned still unconvinced.

"Yeah just pick a place" Ellie told her.

"Alright then, how about we meet you at Abe's after Wheels off work" Mar suggested.

"Fine" Ellie agreed.

They walked into the history class then, and after Ellie sat down her professor started a lecture on Constantine. Throughout the class, Ellie was writing notes on the Christian Emperor. Her hands were still stained from the pottery. After the lecture was almost over, her professor passed another reading packet. It made Ellie mentally groan, they were so dry. It was on the rise of Christianity, and questions on Monday. It was about the size of a normal packet though, so she wouldn't have to take too long to look over it. Then a bell rang, which meant her last class was over. Ellie walked out the door with Mar, and as they headed out to the courtyard Mar spoke.
