Somehow things started to get into a routine, Ellie spent her nights at work her mornings at GU. She'd come back home late more often than not, and find Tessa at her kitchen table busy at work. From what she could tell neither of them made any progress. Her paper was still halfway done by Friday and Tessa was still working on her temptor. Besides that she had tons of readings and papers to do, she still had twenty or so math problems to do. She tried her best to block it out of her mind; she had a party to go to after all.

She slipped on the orange dress, and grabbed a pair of orange heels. Then she went to her mirror and put on some makeup before walking out the door. When she stood out there she saw Tessa doing some last minute adjustments to her device, while in the black and white dress. She just prayed she didn't get any goop or tech crap all over her dress. She grabbed her phone and put it in her pink bag.

"Ready to go" Ellie asked.

"Yeah, are you?" Tessa told her.

Ellie sighed, and went to the door with Tessa following behind her. Outside it was getting dark out, but some streetlights dotted around the corners. She knew the way to Lauren's it wasn't that far away. Mar and Wheels were going to meet up at Lauren's so there was no point in waiting for them. She walked down the street and a few more blocks. Lauren's house was bigger than hers, with yellow siding and a white roof. So yeah even in the dark she couldn't miss it, it looked like a freaking lighthouse with all the lights on for the party.

"So how do you know this girl again?" Tessa asked.

"She's you know a friend..." Ellie started to say.

"Like me, or...?" Tessa asked,

"Nah she's not weird, she's just rich" Ellie answered.

Ellie walked up the stairs, and the creaking sound told her Tessa was right behind her, which was an odd comfort. When she knocked on the door Angie, Lauren's roommate, answered the door. She was in her Anatomy class, but other than that Ellie didn't know her that well. She was part Brazilian, with dark hair and tanned skin; she had on a green dress that showed off her curves.

"Hey Ellie" she said.

"Hey Angie" Ellie told her.

"Oh who's your friend" Angie asked.

"Oh this is Tessa" Ellie said, as the other girl beckoned for her to come in.

She figured she'd have to be going through introductions all night, so she'd have to get used to sounding like a broken record. She'd been inside Lauren's house a few times, many times when she wanted to get help with homework. She and Mar had come here when Mar had broken up with her ass of an ex-boyfriend. Inside was a large open room with striped green wallpaper, there were two couches and a table set up with snacky food. From here she could hear a speaker blasting dancey music but she didn't know the song.

Ellie tossed her shoes by the stairs and tossed her bag next to them. There were already a couple pairs of heels by there. She recognized the short white ones that were Mar's, and that made her smile. She went into the kitchen and saw Mar talking to Lauren by the kitchen table where there were even more snacks and a bunch of red plastic cups.

Mar was in a short sky blue dress with a small leather belt attached to it. Her hair was up and in it was a blue flower hairpiece. Her friend smiled at her as she walked, Lauren ran up and hugged her so for a second she was off guard. Once she let go of her, she saw Lauren was in a red dress, and her dark hair was down. She looked pretty; meanwhile she was sure she looked a pumpkin.

"Hey E, who's the blue girl over there?" Lauren asked.

"That's Tessa, Ellie's new roommate" Mar answered for her.
