Iahn's world blurred with the blue of the temporal waves, which at some points he was sure it churned bright red. He was still feeling dizzy and lightheaded his whole left side throbbed in pain. There was a bandaged wrapped around the wound though it only helped a little bit in his mind. The next time he opened his eyes, he was in a vast desert. Already he could feel the heat attacking like waves and winds blew the hot sand right at his face.

"Where are we?" Iahn asked.

"Egypt about 1358 BC" Teo answered.

"Hey we made it guys!" Kaneo cheered.

"Don't start celebrating yet, we don't even know where we're going or how to get out of this desert" Nasira reminded them.

That made sense. Ian couldn't even think of another place where there would be a desert. He knew little about Egypt's past though. Sure they built the pyramids but what other things were notable about the old civilization? He had never traveled there either, but he knew that they had to get out this desert especially with such a heat wave. He didn't even know if his team had packed any water, and God knows he couldn't just use HAN to solve all his problems.

"Eyota's last report said she was in Akhenaten..."

"I've already got a location Iahn. Now we have two options we can steal some camels from some poor unfortunate Egyptian, or we can use a handy gadget"

"But if we're seen with technology by locals its breaking protocol" Nasira told them.

"By all means princess, have fun on your nice stroll through the Sahara then, because I'm definitely not walking. Besides Iahn, you're Captain he needs medical aid" Teo told her.

"We should use the gadget otherwise we're getting nowhere" Kaneo said.

Teo then reached in his pocket and pulled out a metal box. Iahn realized what the device was, but the two other members didn't know what was going on. After Teo opened the compartment within the box, a bright blue light flashed. A shape formed with the light till a moment past and the Beagle appeared. It was about the size of a small bus, but it had a metal exterior painted red and gold. Emblazoned on the side was The Beagle.

"That's... that's a hydronic temoblie!" Kaneo exclaimed.

"These devices are illegal and their accidents outweigh their uses. How did you even come by one?" Nasira questioned.

"I'll tell you, but you can't turn me in or anything. My grandfather was a mechanic and worked in scrapyards. He died in an accident... before I joined the Academy I thought maybe if I fixed up one of these rust buckets maybe I could have changed it. He was the one who taught me how and everything, but then I learned my lesson. I keep around, like if the team was in an emergency. If I didn't Eyota and I might have not came out of Russia. We had to..."

Teo lost his words then, and Iahn knew he was thinking about Jakob. How else would they have gotten his mutilated body back to his family if not for the Beagle. He didn't want to think about Russia, especially because it reminded him that he was running out of time. For a moment he thought he could borrow it and run to see her. But he knew he couldn't. Who knew how much fuel it would have after this trip, and his sister should be his number one priority.

"Let's go" Iahn said, rising to his feet.

The hatches of the Beagle opened automatically. Teo sat at the front by the wheel, and he sat next to him while the rest of his team filed in the back. Once they were in the Beagle burst to life, with the hum of electronic devices and screen murmuring. He fastened his seatbelt, and held on to the arms of his leather padded seat.
