Turning Events

Chapter 7

Author's Note:this chapter is happening while Tina and Travis are getting supplys and guns.

Grace "Im going to go lay down, let me know when they get back."

Sueann "Okay"

Grace goes to another room ,closes the door and lays down.

Linda "what's that sound?"

Lisa "i don't know it sounds like someone's trying to break in"

Tina and Travis barely make it back as the sky fills with dark clouds and it starts pouring. The girls open and close the door over and over as Tina, Travis and Nick bring in loads emptying the car. Tina sits and loads a hand gun.

Tina "is everyone okay?"

Linda "yeah, a few minutes ago we heard sounds like someone was trying to break in."

Tina "we will look.lock and load boys."

Travis and Nick get their hand guns ready. Nick goes to one room first.

Nick "rooms clear, nothing in here and nothing by the window."

Travis goes to another room.

Travis "same with this room"

Tina"where is grace?"

Sueann "she is in the room sleeping."

Tina "and you are just telling me this now! Guys wait here im checking this room out."

Linda "be careful baby."

Tina goes into the room. she comes back out carrying Grace.

Tina "get me something to stop the bleeding!"

Linda and Lisa hurry to try to get the bleeding to stop, but nothing seems to be working.

Linda "I'm sorry she's dead"

Tina "God no! I'm sorry I failed you my best friend."

Something starts happening to happening to grace's lifeless body. She gets up and starts growling.

Tina "Oh God no!"

Grace turned into a zombie. Before Grace can bite Tina puts a gun to her head and pulls the trigger.

Tina "i'm sorry"

Grace's body falls back onto the couch. Tina goes into the bedroom and gets Grace's favorite blanket and covers her body with it.

Tina "barricade that bedroom door so no one else can get in."

Travis and Nick board up the door, as Tina goes into the kitchen. Linda follows her.

Linda "are you okay baby?"

Tina "No! I just killed my ex...my best friend! how am i going to be your leader and protect you and our baby if i couldn't protect her?"

Linda "you're being too hard on yourself. I know you can do this baby. For me,our baby and our family."

Tina "No Sueann  is right. I can't do this."

Linda "you can do this! Before this you were doing really good. And this you couldn't help you weren't here you had to get supplies that we needed. Besides did you just hear yourself? You said my mom was right."

they share a little laugh.

Tina "alright baby. i just need sometime alone to think."

Linda "okay baby i love you"

Tina "i love you."

Linda leaves Tina alone to think and goes back in the living room with the others.

Nick "How is she holding up?"

Linda "she is okay. she just needs some alone time to think of what to do."

Tina comes out about an hour later

Tina "I have an idea"
