Today was your birthday! Turning 24. Murasakibara had surprisingly planned a date. So you were clearly excited and cannot sit down. You candy loving boyfriend actually planned a date! You wore your favourite comfortable outfit. Minimal makeup and flats. The door bell rang and this was the signal for you to meet Murasakibara.

"Atsushi!" You jumped up and hugged you boyfriend. He smiled and returned, wrapping his long arms around your shoulders.

"(F/n)-chin, happy birthday. I promise today's gonna be the best birthday ever."

"I'm looking forward to it. Let's go!"

From 9:00am to 3:00pm, you were constantly being spoilt by Murasakibara. You could've sworn he packed hundreds of banknotes into his wallet. Going to an amusement park, winning gifts and eating until your heart's content. Going to Ueno park for sakura viewing, while eating favourite ice-cream. Nothing can be compared to how you felt at that moment.

Both of you were currently sitting while licking your ice-cream when Murasakibara pulled out his phone and looked at the time. Funny, cause he never looks at the time.

"Atsushi, what's wrong?" You asked cautiously. He gulped and pulled you up on your feet.

"(F/n)-chin, there one more place I want to go. Follow me." He murmured while taking your hand and dragging you off to city centre.

There was a place in city centre where no cars were allowed, both sides filled with shops. There was plenty of seats. Musicians playing n the background. A small jumping castle with children squealing was heard as well.

Pulled you into a sheltered area and forced you to sit down. You chuckled as he seemed nervous for some reason.

"Atsushi, is there something wrong?" You asked him.

"N-no, wait here..."

He walked off leaving you behind for a moment. You started to fiddle but then you could hear the faintest singing. It came closer and you recognized it as 'happy birthday to you'.

You immediately stood up and you saw the GOM and Yosen singing...together. You started grinning like an idiot. They came closer and their voices got louder. They should really think about joining the choir. You thought.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to (f/n)...happy birthday to you! Hip hip...horray! Hip hip...horray!" At the end, a audience gathered and some even began singing along.

Murasakibara appeared holding a vanilla cupcake with aqua icing and a candle was lit. He looked so adorable!

"Happy birthday, (f/n)-chin, I hope you like it." He said while holding the cupcake towards you. You never could of thought he'd go through all this for your birthday.

"Make a wish, cupcake." Atsushi said with a flustered face. Cupcake? That's new...but you liked it. You closed you eyes and made (your wish). Finished, you opened your eyes and beamed at your boyfriend. You blew out the candle. Everyone cheered and clapped. You were about to grab the cupcake but Murasakibara suddenly pulled back.

"T-there's more before you eat the cupcake." Murasakibara responded to his odd actions.

"More? What more could I possibly want?" You exclaimed. This was already well beyond what you thought this date would be.

"T-this..." He took out the candle and popped it into the rubbish bin. He stood in front of you with a sincere smile. You stood there confused.

Some girls in the audience were already squealing, you were so oblivious to what was about to happen.

He carefully removed the top of the cupcake while kneeling down on one knee. You gasped and stood there shocked. In the cupcake, there was a beautiful purple ring, Murasakibara must've spent a lot of time making this work. Tears started to rise up in your eyes.

"(F/n)-chin, the moment I saw you, I knew you were something special, the way you would smile at me with those bright eyes makes my heart pound. Everyday you would give me piece of candy without fail. You were my first ever snack-buddy as Muro-chin isn't really fond of sweets. As time went on, realized I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so (f/n)-chin...will you be my snack buddy forever?" He asked you while trying to maintain his balance.

You were taken aback, tears started falling and you started laughing while sobbing. The crowd started cheering but you were just focused on him...your one and only true love.

"Y-yes. I will!" You immediately ran up and Murasakibara caught you in a hug. He pulled the ring out and slipped it onto you finger. You giggled.

"Atsushi, wrong hand." You whispered.

"Oh, right." He took it off and slipped it onto your left.

He placed the cupcake without the top in between the both of you indicating you for a bite. You gladly took a large bite. At the same time, he bent down and did the same. For Murasakibara, this was more important than wedding vows.

"I love you."

"I love you more, my sweet cupcake."

It turns out that this sweet proposal was posted on Youtube. Within a week, the video already had millions of views. But it didn't matter to you. But this will serve as a reminder. How (f/n) (l/n), on her 24th birthday, received an unforgettable sweet happy birthday.
