Abi's POV

Walking through the front door to loud screams I kicked off my shoes and followed the voices to the kitchen. Mum was standing by the cooker with a hot pan in her hands, an angry look on her face and a very annoyed looking dad standing just inches away from her.

"You are full of yourself." Dad sneered at her with such disgust. It was shocking to see them at each other's throats like a pair of quarelling children, more so the fact that neither of them had seen me walk in.

"Ha as if I care what you think about me, you are nothing to me anymore! You do not belong in this house." Mum spat back carelessly throwing the hot pan in the sink.

Dad looked amused instead of angry.

I had no idea what they were arguing about and I didn't really want to know so I left them to it and disappeared upstairs into my room and switched on my music to drown out their rowing shrieks. It was times like this I was thankful I was an only child, although yes there were many a time when I wanted to have a brother or a sister when I was smaller but that was a long time ago.

I smiled falling back into my own little world as I spotted Si's smiling face beaming at me from the picture on the wall opposite me.

"I love you babes" I text him hoping he had forgiven me for disturbing his sleep by now.

Immediately my phone beeped back at me.

Surprised to have recieved a reply so fast I grinned wondering what he had put but realising it wasn't even from Si I felt a bit disappointed. Reading my new message quickly turned me from feeling happy to feeling very very sick. My friend Nicola.

"I have just seen Anna leaving Si's"

The message read.

I stared at it like it was in a different language hardly able to believe what I was reading.

I tapped a message back

"Are you sure?"

"Positive"

Before I could think I was already up on my feet and flying down the stairs almost bumping into my very shocked looking parents who were clearly still arguing.

"Abi?" they both called in unison after me but I was not in any mood to explain anything to them right now.

There was only one thing on my mind right now.

Anna's POV

Somebody was banging on the door as I had just got myself comfy on the sofa with a nice iced cold drink of coca cola and icecubes.

Tutting loudly I cursed whoever it was for interrupting my peace and quiet.

"Alright. Alright. I am coming for gawd's sake." I shouted as the door knockiong got even louder, the letterbox rattling so hard it was a wonder the damn door didn't fall off of it's hinges.

"What the hell is going on with you and my Si?" Abi squealed furiously as sI opened the door and she pushed her way in. I did not have time to register what was going on so I just blinked at her dumbly.

"What are you talking about?2 I asked her calmly.

Abi looked red faced with anger as she glared hatefully at me.

"What were you doing with my boyfriend?"

Alarm bells started ringing in my head and I wondered how the hell she had found out, maybe he had told her or maybe she was just being paranoid and actually knew nothing at all.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." I told her with my hands on my hips. I could lie my way out of anything, that came from years of practise.

Abi clenched her hands into little fists and breathed through her nose like a dragon and I could not help but laugh. She looked more pathetic than ever. I wondered why I was ever best friends with somebody like her.

"You have every idea what I am on about so do not insult me with your stupidity." she exclaimed.

That wiped the smile off of my face and I just wanted to shake her until she got it into her thick skull that Si didn't want her anymore but I got a grip of myself just in time.

No way was she going to make me confess to anything and then ruin everything for me. She did not deserve Si. He was mine and there was nothing that she could say or do about it.

The funny thing was she had no idea what was going to hit her.

"Nicola saw you coming out of Si's house, why would you be anywhere near his house?" Abi trembled trying hard to conceal the tears that were threatening to flood out of her eyes any minute now.

"Sorry Abi but she is just causing trouble, I have not been anywhere near Simon today so guess you got it wrong." I opened the door and signalled for her to leave.

Glaring at me she hurried off out the door, down the road and out of sight. Slamming the door I smiled smugly to myself.

What a muppet she really was.

Minutes later my phone was ringing. I knew it was him without even looking.

"What is going on?" Si said as soon as I picked up the phone.

I sighed.

"Anna. I am waiting. You better start talking."

He breathed down the phone clearly waiting for my answer.

"Ask your girlfriend. She's on her way over to yours now I expect."

He was silent for a few seconds, probably wondering if I was being serious.

"What have you told her?"

"Nothing! She came to my door accussing me of seeing you, of course I denied it. Nicola saw me leaving yours earlier. The dirty little grass needs a good slap." I told him.

"Nicola, what is she doing telling Abi anything? Is this oen of your sick pranks in trying to get back at me for not finishing with her when you click your fingers?" he growled down the phone.

I laughed.

What a joker.

"What do you take me for? Get a grip. You need to make up your mind. Maybe it's just as well Nicola dobbed us in. You can tell your precious girlfriend the truth now." I hung up before he could reply and threw my phone across the room onto the sofa. Taking a long sip of my drink thirstily. It was hard work being me.
