Chapter XI

Since I haven't updated in a while, I have decided to update twice a week or as much as I can until this book is finished. I have dedicated this chapter to Alchemist_
So here is the second update for this week!

"What are you talking about?! Demons are coming here to fight us?!" Josie asks. I'm trying to ignore the aching in my chest right now, but it isn't working. It hurts to be away from Sebastian.

"Someone gave me a message that on the eclipse, there will be a war against us," I look over at Nick. He avoids my eyes, either scared or saddened by me. He had to have watched me fight Lilith.

"How do you know this is true?" Sylvester speaks up.

"I know you two don't trust me, but believe me when I say this. If you or this whole school don't choose to fight, you'll die." I walk out of the dorm room. When I'm halfway to the courtyard, I hear footsteps behind me.

"Is she alright?" I turn around to see Sylvester.

"Who?" I ask; confused.

"That girl that came with the wolves," his voice is no more than a whisper.

"You mean Sebastian's sister?" I pause for a moment. "She's fine, why?"

"No reason," He shrugs. I turn back around and keep walking.

"I don't believe sending out untrained students out to your war would be the best idea," Principal Mathews says.

"It isn't my war. The message said it was your's too," they don't believe me, or in Mathews' case just won't help, "you will all be wiped out. There are spies in your school whom are demons. If you leave, war will still follow." Principal Mathews seems to think about this.

I hear a blood curtling scream. I rush over to the door and open it. A boy that looks to be my age, has his back to the Principal's office door where I stand.

"Where is Lillian?!" His voice is raspy. The girl he has against the wall by the neck almost looks purple, and her expression gives her the impression that she's trying to keep her face blank.

"Where is she!" He yells one more time before he is forced to drop her.

"Back away like a good little demon," I whisper into his ear. My sword blade is at his throat, "why are you going through such measures to find me?" I ask.

"I was sent here to help you," my blade cuts into his skin.

"If you will willingly come, then I won't stop you. However I will make you loyal, not matter what the devils made you do," I smirk as my hand comes down on his head. Once I'm done, the demon only knows his name and the fake memories of his loyalty to me.

"What did you just do to that demon?" Principal Mathews asks.

"There is no need to worry, Maximous will help us in the fight. Won't you?"

"Yes, my queen." The demon gets on his knee and bows.

"Stand up, I wish not to be called a queen." I say softly, "this is just the doing of one demon. Imagine what could happen in this school before and during war. I know how to rid them of disloyalty, they will fight alongside of us."

"If you do that, then I will fight with you." He gives a small smile.

"The demons wish to declare war on us. This information has come from a trusted source. If you wish to fight please stand up on the stage," Principal Mathews. Four people stand and walk up, conversations erupt the room into chaos. I walk up to the podium.

"Quiet!" I yell, the conversations become louder, "SILENCE!" The room becomes quiet enough for a pin to drop. "Thank you. I have personally fought one of the devils themselves. It is challenging compared to killing demons. You can all kill an army of demons each, how hard do you think it is?! As long as you have weapons and the will to fight what is yours then I know you will win. Principal Mathews has agreed to fight with me, now the question is. Will you fight for your friends, your comrades, this school?! It is up to you, though I feel there are some demons here that are disloyal." I turn to the people on the stage, most of them look at me with horrified expressions.

"Show me your true forms," I walk up to them. Three comply, while the last stares at me with a blank expression. I smirk at him as my hand comes down on his head. He gasps, I only take away all of his memories, I don't do anything else.

"Where am I?" He looks around frantically. I go to the next three and do the same as I did to Maximous earlier.

"These demons will now be loyal to all of us," I yell for all the students to hear, "if you wish to fight for your future stand up!" The whole room erupts into cheers as everyone stands.

The whole school holds their preferred weapons in their hands. Teachers in the middle, while most of the stronger students are in the back. I stand on the tall roof of the school with my familiar. At first only a few demons trickle in from the wood lining, then a whole... Army of them exit it. There looks to be no end to their numbers. I know what they plan to do, kill everyone and destroy the school. I made sure all but one warlock is inside keeping the school warded. The army of demons stop walking and stand there, waiting. The loud roar of a voice interrupts the silence.

"CHARGE!!!!!!" The demons come running towards the demon slayers.

"Let the game begin," I mumble. Principal Mathews yells over the screaming of the demons.

"CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!" The students of Seraphia Academy run into battle.
