Chapter thirty seven: The birthday

The morning came and Lia was thinking of how to invite Joe as Laura told her but she didn't know how.. She quickly picked her phone and sent Rayna a message requesting from her to ask Joe to come to her birthday today.

"Hey." Rayna said on the phone

"Hello, how are you Rayna?" Joe said

"I am fine, you are okay now?"

"Trying to be." Joe said sadly

"Anyway, tonight is Lia's birthday. I hope you come and talk to her. I am sure she will listen to you. Just come."

"I know it's today. But she didn't invite me. I was thinking to make her a birthday party, but I discovered she is arranging for one."

"Actually she asked me to invite you. You know she is still upset of course so just be patient and things will go to its right way."

"I hope so." Joe sighed

"Do you love her?"

"I love her so much I swear."

"Will you ever cheat on her again? Joe, Lia is not my best friend or even sister. Lia is my soul. I don't wanna make her get hurt. You hurt her but I know you love her."

"I will never do that again whatever happened even if I made sure she doesn't love me and I know that she doesn't love me but what do you want me do? Kill myself? She is killing me when she says she can't love me."
"Will you protect her? Stay with her whatever happened? Put her on your eyes?"

"Look Rayna. I don't love Lia. I breathe her so I will never leave my air and throw myself to the death. I adore Lia."

Rayna felt so much happy "Of course you are right."

"And believe me I am not selfish and I will still try till my last moment to make her love me." Joe said

"She loves you. Everybody knows that except her. She is my best friend and I know her. She loves you. Don't ever give up. Tomorrow is your day. Make her love you. Are you hearing me? She is too confused but she loves you."

"Thank you so much.. But..but does she love me really?"

"Yeah. Believe me." Rayna said smiling

"I-I love you. Thank you. Really thank you." Joe said jumping from the happiness

"Don't say I love you or Lia will believe the story I told her." Rayna laughed

"Story?"

"Never mind. I just said a story to Lia to know what she will do. I discovered how much Lia loves me that she can give anything even if she likes it."

"I know she loves you so much."

Rayna wiped her tears that fell when she remembered how Lia loves her "I swear I love her more but she did a lot of things to me."

Lia was busy preparing for her birthday. She and Pilo went to take the dress from the store as they didn't send it yet. Once she returned she took a bath then put her makeup and wore the dress that was amazing in her..

There was a knock on the door "Yes."

"Hi my beautiful daughter." Mina said standing on the doorstep

"Hi mommy. How do I look? Nice?"

"Not nice, you are stunning. Oh my God."

"Laura arrived?"

"Yeah, she downstairs."

"Tell her to come." Lia said excitedly

Laura came and fixed her makeup and hair.. Lia was wearing a slim red dress that was before her knees.. The dress was so amazing and expensive. Rayna then came with her family. Rayna and Laura stayed with her in her room while the rest stayed on the reception.

"Can I enter?" Pilo said knocking

"No." Lia teased

Pilo entered "Thank you my babe."

Lia giggled "Here is Rayna my best friend or my sister to know and this lady you don't know her name is Laura."

Pilo shake hands with Rayna "Really? Hi Laura nice to meet you. I heard that you are my cousin." Pilo joked and Rayna laughed

"You silly." Laura said and Pilo kissed her cheeks

"Missed you I swear." Pilo said putting his hands on his pockets. He was wearing a black suit.

"I missed you more." Laura winked

"Do I look good Pilo? You didn't comment." Lia said

"Oh, show me show me. My God you are so pretty. Gorgeous like the moon." Pilo said

"How will I believe you! Pilo go go." Lia said

"Let's go. Everyone is downstairs Lia."

"Oh really? No not now." Lia felt so worried and her heart started to beat rapidly because she doesn't know how will she meet everyone but she was excited at the same time. Pilo asked her to cross her arm with his and she did.

Rayna liked how Lia and Pilo are. She thought they are sibling goals.

Everyone was waiting for Lia. She walked to them. Lia rolled her eyes on everyone to search for Joe..or Noah

"Oh, I miss you so much uncle." Lia ran to her uncle and hugged him

The music was playing and Lia greeted everyone. She didn't find Noah or Joe.. She found Jak and greeted him. She greeted Brixton as well.

"Lia I love you. Happy birthday." Brixton said sweetly

"I love you more Brix." She said hugging him

"Please go and see Taila and her sister." Brixton said

"What?" Jak said "They are here?"

"Yes, he asked me to invite them and I agreed for sure. Taila is so sweet but I have never seen her sister actually."

Brixton show Lia and Jak where Taila and her sister were.

"Awe, her sister is beautiful like her." Lia said

Jak was confused once he saw Nany (Taila's sister)

"Hi." Jak said to Nany and Lia left them alone after she greeted them and thanked them for coming

Nany didn't reply and she ignored him.

"Nany?"

"What Jak what? You didn't call me just even once after last time we saw each other. What do you expect? I waited for you for too long." Nany said blaming him

"I am sorry. I know I am mistaken. Please forgive me."

"Okay no problem." She smiled sweetly to him

"You are so beautiful." Jak whispered to her that made her giggle

"You are more." Nany winked, she was so cheerful and funny. Jak liked her and remembered how he liked her when he saw her the first time.
