Different, But Best Friends!

Chapter ten: Our travel

In school;

"Lia, I wanna tell you that we have time for our plan so don't worry." Rayna said

"That's great, I will travel after two days!" Lia said

"Wow so...." Rayna didn't complete her sentence as she saw Joe running towards Lia

"So what?" Lia said

"Liaaaaaaa, wait" Joe said standing behind her back

"What!!!" Lia turned her face to see who's talking

"Lia please can we talk alone for just minutes" Joe said

"Talk? And alone? Why?" Lia said but Rayna pinched her and whispered "Don't be so hard"

So Lia decided to agree, Rayna left them.

Joe decided to talk with her in the school cafeteria. He chose a nice table away from the students sight. Lia sat waiting for him to say what he want.

"Lia, Everytime I see you or even call you in the phone, you avoid me. Why you do that when I always want to be near you. Whenever I try to come nearer you always ignore me completely." Joe said

"First, I am not avoiding you. Why would I avoid you when I don't know you. Ah I mean I don't know you WELL. I just know your name maybe your level in school. And that's all!! Second, how you try to come nearer I don't understand!!! Why you want to come nearer? Sometimes I ignore you not because I really mean to ignore you because I have life and should better think of my life and my family than any others. And if I decided to think of other things so I don't think it'll be you I am not trying to be mean of course" Lia said

"You have life? What do you mean you have life? Okay I have life too. I think and care of my family, life, school and YOU." Joe said waiting to see her reaction. But she didn't! pretending she didn't hear what he said. So he decided to continue...

"I CARE of you because I want to be near you. I want to be near you because you mean a lot to me. You mean a lot to me because I just feel I do! Don't ask me more questions, please. But answer my questions. Whatever if you care or not and even if I haven't been in your mind ever! I don't care! I wanna open a new page. I want to be your friend Can I? " Joe offered stretching his arm on the table to reach her hand.

Lia was so confused and hoped she can skip this moment. She was like what do you want!! Her blue eyes were glowing, her school uniform never disappear her prettiness.

"Joe, I don't wanna lie that time. I admit I was escaping sometimes from you. I don't wanna refuge to escaping this time. Actually I am not thinking of having a boyfriend!" Lia said

Joe stopped her saying "I said I want us to be Friends only"

"Hahaha and where's the difference? "Lia said

"Boyfriend is not like just friends" Joe said

"Whatever! Let me think before."Lia said
She just said that to escape from this situation. At the end she used the same way! She held her school bag which was beside her in the ground. Joe stopped her and said "We will eat something first then we can go"

"No I can't. You can't as well. We have an English class now" Lia said

"Oh really! Time passed so quickly" Joe said. "OK go and I will follow you"

"OK" Lia nodded

Joe ordered two Grilled chicken sandwiches and took them.
When he entered the class. He put one in her bag.

"What happened? And what did he put in your bag? A message?" Rayna said

"A sandwich. It looks so delicious" Lia said feeling hungry

"Sandwich?" Rayna questioned

"Yes, grilled chicken with cheese and smells amazing" Lia said

"I smell it" Rayna agreed

After school Lia gave Rayna half of the sandwich and took the other half. It tasted very good.

Two days passed and Joe didn't open any conversations with Lia.

The day of her travel with Laura,  her aunt, Mrs Dona, her two sons  and of course her dad, mom, Pilo came.

"You prepared you bag Lia?" Mina asked

"Putting the last things mom" Lia answered

"Okay hurry up babe, aunt Danila and Laura is already downstairs waiting for us. Pilo and dad are ready, they finished everything." Mina said

"Really? So okay I'm coming." Lia said

Her mother left her room. She began putting pink lipstick, sunscreen and blusher. She raised her hair high in a bun. She looked gorgeous. Then took her red travel bag and her violent hand bag which matches her t-shirt, jeans and her blue shoes.

"Hi aunt, Hi Laura" Lia said when she went downstairs and found her aunt and Laura sitting waiting for them.

"Hi babe" Danila said

Lia came, hugged and kissed her aunt and Laura and sat beside her. "Do you know, Uncle Montero, his wife and his sons are coming with us" Lia said to her

"Mom told me but why?" Laura said back

"They visited us like three days ago and we wasn't able to hide that cause they said that they wanna hang up with us at the weekend" Lia said

"Why are you saying it like I won't like to go with them!! Although I don't like Mrs Dona much but Robert and Mark are like my young brothers and uncle is life" Laura said

"Why? Why you don't love Mrs Dona much?" Lia said

"Cause when I was young, she didn't love me. She cared only for her sons. I feel she hate me a bit but I can handle it." Laura said

"Oh why you say that!! Once she knew you're coming with us. She insisted going even if Uncle Montero is busy." Lia said

"Okay, So there is a strong reason that made her decide to travel with us. Lia, I have many situations which prove what I am saying. When she travelled with uncle I was pleased. But now she returned and we don't know until when!" Laura said

"Situations like what?" Lia asked

"What're you doing? We will leave now. Let's go girls!" Pilo said

"Okay man" Laura winkled

"Laura, he's not a man still a baby boy" Lia said teasing her brother

"When I be a baby boy then you must be in mom's tummy then" Pilo said

"No bruh! Ages is measured by brain not by numbers!" Lia said

"Brain?how? I don't understand!" Pilo said

"I mean the level of intelligence and thinking in mine is more than in yours which means I am bigger than you babe" Lia illustrated while getting into the car. Everyone is ready now. Mrs Dona and her two sons came too. They decided going by two cars. Danila's car and Das's car. Lia, pilo, Mina, Das and Laura will be together in their car while the rest in Danila's car.

"Tom & Jerry please get into the car we don't have time." Mina said

"Tom & Jerry, the cartoon characters?" Laura said

"Yes, mom usually call me and Pilo Tom & Jerry when we argue hahaha. Sh believe we do like them." Lia said

"Darling try to forget everything in this travel" Mina said to Laura

"I really need to. I'll do my best too. Thank you for managing it" Laura said

"I hope so babe." Mina said

They were near California that they can arrive by car but it's still a travel cause it's another state.
They decided to stay for only four days because Lia has school.
