Chapter thirty eight: Lia knew who owned her heart

Lia was searching for Joe all the time. She was surprised as he didn't come although Rayna said that he agreed to come.

"What are you searching for?" Laura came behind of her

Lia turned to see Laura and sighed "Joe. I am searching for Joe. Do you think he will not come?"

"I don't think so but why are caring a lot about him? Didn't you say that you already eared him from your life?"

"I don't know. I am so strange. I don't know why I miss him so much... I-I am actually dying to see him even without talking. Just see him from far away."

"Oh my God." Laura said looking there

"What?" Lia puzzled

"It's Maxel over there. How did he come? I didn't tell him."

"I did." Lia said

Maxel came to them "Happy birthday Lia."

"Thank you and congratulations." Lia winked

"Ahh thank you. We are waiting for you in our engagement party." Maxel said

"Sure." Lia said and left them

Lia felt hopeless to see Joe so she decided to forget about him. Suddenly Noah appeared, Lia smiled and walked straight to him.

"Hey. I am so happy you came." Lia said

"I told you that I will come. Happy birthday."

"Thank you so much."

"You are so beautiful on this dress."

Lia smiled "Thanks. Come on and have a seat."

"I am really excited to see your family but what will I tell them? Who I am?" Noah said

"Don't worry. You are like a friend so it's okay."

"Is your ex here?"

"Ex?" Lia raised an eyebrow

"Yes this bitch who cheated on you."

"He is not a bitch."

"Oh you still love him?"

"I don't or....or I don't know. I am not sure yet."

"But he cheated on you right? So how can you forgive him? You have to kill him if you can.."

Lia rolled her eyes on him giving him a strange look "It's not to that extent. He didn't mean to cheat on me. I am sure of his love to me that's why I am not sure if I am gonna leave him or forgive him." Lia teased him cause she didn't like his way of talking

Noah is so arrogant and hope the bad for people. Even if Joe is a bitch, he shouldn't have said that..
Lia thought

"So, you can forgive him?"

"Yeah. Maybe.." Lia said

Noah gave her a silly smile "But you will lose me then?"

"Lose you? Why?"

"Lia, did you forget? I told you I love you and you ignored me and pretended like I said nothing."

"What do you want me to do? I still don't know you and we haven't talked." Lia explained

"Okay." Noah nodded angrily
