Adam's POV

I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, replaying the event over and over again. Replaying the sounds, the feel of her skin against mine. I drift off with a smile on my face, and hundreds of questions on my mind.

Skye's POV

I wake up in an unfamiliar room. I have no indication of time but I guess it's still early by the dim haze coming in from outside. I clench my eyes tight shut but I know I'm not getting anymore sleep. I stare at the ceiling, counting all of the bumps and imperfections on it. I do that twice over. I get overly restless and have to do something, before I die of boredom.

I creep down the stairs, and head towards to door, I slowly and very carefully pull the latch, and just as I grab the door handle...

'Skye'

I lurch forwards out of pure fright and smack my head against the door.

'Ow!'

'Skye, Skye? Are you alright?'

I hear gentle padded footsteps and then, light illuminates the room, It's glare temporarily blinding. As my eyes adjust they focus on a worried Adam standing there, his eyes boring into me.

'Skye where are you going at 5 'o'clock in the morning?'

'I-I just needed to get out, I've been awake for hours...'

'You know you're welcome to come down and watch TV, or come and get me, I'm always awake at this time anyways, I'm an insomniac...' he trailed off.

I just stared at the ground.

He sighed.

'Let me make you some breakfast'

He quickly whipped up a plate of scrambled eggs and two pieces of toast. I sat awkwardly on one of his dining room chairs, staring into space. There was a clank as the plate was set down in front of me, and I came back to the real world. Adam sat opposite me, looking equally as awkward.

'We could go do something today if you want, I know you must be pretty bored, we could go for a walk maybe...' his words fizzled out when he saw the tear that was rolling down my cheek.

'Skye, what's wrong'

'I just- it's nothing'

I quickly wiped the tear away with the back of my hand. No-one had been this nice to me for a very long time, and I guess the fact that I hadn't slept didn't really help.

'I like walking' I whispered.

He smiled and took my dish away.

'A walk it is then.'
