Adam's POV
Speeding down the dirt track, my palms were sweating under my tight grasp on the steering wheel. The directions were vague. But by the way every hair on my body stood rigid, I knew I was close. I glanced at my dashboard, the temperature reading was dropping. 40 Fahrenheit, 39, 38...
I swerved right down another dirt road, that looked as though it barely existed as a road at all. At the end of it, in an opening, stood a wide metal warehouse of some sort. It was damaged, and it's exterior had been spoilt by the rain, but still it stood tall. It looked completely out of place. It was unnatural. It shouldn't be there but it was.
There was not another building in sight.
My car grinded to a halt in front of it, I leapt out and step by step, approached a small door cut out of one side. It was completely out of proportion with the size of the rest of the building. It served no purpose other than single file entrance and exit.
This was no warehouse, I knew that now.
I unlatched the hefty lock, which sent an echo resounding throughout the building. I stepped into complete darkness and the thick door bolted shut behind me. Lights flickered on from above, and the room was illuminated.
I stared into my surroundings, and staring back at me, was my reflection.
All of the air left my lungs.
The room was full, of mirrors.
