Chapter 12

"Dad, we're leaving!" I shouted.

"Where to?" He shouted back.

"Somewhere, we'll be back later ok?"

"Okay honey, take care." He appeared from the kitchen.

"Thanks dad, you too." David and Beth also said goodbye before we were in the car.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" David asked.

"Well, I'm going to know one way or another, so I'd rather find out now." I replied.

"Find out about what?" Beth said from the back seat.

"I might be pregnant."

"Oh," she stopped talking for about a minute "where are you going?"

"Doctor." I couldn't keep up with what she was saying, all I could think about was whether I should be disappointed or happy. I'm happy because I wanted to start a family with David but I was disappointed because I didn't want to have my first pregnancy in the middle of stressful situations. What about David? He must want to jump from joy, he did want children after all. You know, it's ironic how, I just had someone pressuring me into getting pregnant and voila! Here I am, on my to a doctor to see if I have a baby growing inside me or not.

"Luna, how very nice to meet you." Doctor Clark greeted.

"It's my pleasure." I shook his hand.

"So, what brings you all here?" He asked looking at the four people standing in front of him. On our way here I told David to stop by and pick Tyler up, he needs to be next to me. Both Beth and Tyler and the closest friends I have.

"It's me," I took a deep breath and look at David "I think I'm pregnant."

"Think? I know that you are pregnant, hear, hear, can you not recognise the sound of your pup's heart?"

"Excuse me?" I choked out.

"Oh my! We have a new future Alpha or Luna coming up!"

"Are you sure?" David asked, his eyes filled with joy.

"Can you not hear the baby's heart? I found out from the moment you entered the room." He pointed at me.

"That's what brought me here in the first place."

"Claire, come with me please, come on, let's take an ultrasound." He pulled with him, and all I could do was follow. I am pregnant, I am pregnant, I am pregnant, Claire you are pregnant, I am having a baby!

"It's not very clear because the fetus is very small still, but of course if you look closer you will see."

"You mean if you look with your werewolf eyes."

"Correct." He chuckled.

I started crying, why? I don't know! I think it's because I'm happy, I am happy, I'm having a baby! And David is the father!

"Can you give us a moment please?" David asked our audience.

"Of course." They all went out of the room at once, that's when David took me in his arms and hugged me "I'm so sorry, I really am, I know you didn't want children-"

"I'm happy!" I shouted.

"Then why are you crying so much?" I laughed at how confused he looked back at me.

"I'm overjoyed! Ecstatic! Anything!" he still looked confuse, "those are happy tears stupid!" I kissed him, so hard it might have hurt but I couldn't care less.
