CHAPTER 39-ONE MORE CHANCE AND I'LL MAKE THIS RIGHT

We arrived at the cafe. Both of them looks nervous, I wonder why. Maybe its just nothing. I'll just ask them both later.

We settled on the table at the corner. We take our seats, me and Amanda sitting beside each other and Nathan sitting across Amanda.

"Excuse me guys, I need to powder my nose"- I said and excused myself.

I went to the bathroom and looked at my reflection in the mirror.

I look awful, my eye bags are too big, I have pimples, my brows aren't the same, there are little hair at the side of my eyebrow, ruining the perfect arch I used to have.

I took my make up bag from my school bag and decided to at least apply make up.

I put on some concealer, to hide my bags and pimples. I put on some powder. I put a dab of lip tint across my lips. I applied liquid eye liner making the perfect swing.

I watched my reflection again. This is so much better.

I went out of the bathroom, and I immediately went back to the table where both of them are having a really serious conversation.

I guess, they were so engaged on he conversation they were having that they didn't see me approaching.

"Guys, how do I look?"- I ask. Their heads snap to look at me. A smile appear on each of their faces.

"Beautiful"

"Gorgeous"

I took a sit beside Amanda again

Just on time, a waiter approaches us to take our order.

The waiter lists down all our orders and went back to the counter to give our orders. I checked my phone to see if there is any news. To my disappointment, there was none. I sigh and just smile for my two best friends sitting beside and across me.

"So guys, tell me what's been happening to both of you!"- I squealed excitedly. I miss doing this, just sitting around and not worrying about what's going to happen next. I miss sitting with my best friends and catching to their own lives. I miss them both. So much.

"Well- uhm-"- Amanda said stuttering, and looking so nervous.

What the heck is wrong with her? Why is she so nervous? By now, she must be so used to talking to me.

"Mandy, what's wrong?"- I asked her, confusion masking my face.

"Its j-just th-that-"- Amanda started saying, more like murmuring to herself.

"Its okay, I'll tell her"-exclaimed Nathan.

Okay now, I'm beyond confused, tell me what? Are they hiding something from me? Whatever it is I'm gonna find it, if not now eventually.

"What the heck are you both talking about?"- I said in pure confusion.

"You see-"- Nathan was cut short when the waiter arrives carrying our orders. He placed the orders in front of us.

"Is there anything you want other than that?"- he asks in a thick accent.

"No, thank you"-I said shortly, the with that the waiter left.

I turned around and look at both of them crossed arms and one eyebrow up. Yes, I'm persuasive, and I'm always like this if I think I'm right.

I started eating my cake and drinking my coffee.

"We're dating"- they both said suddenly, causing me to look at them with wide eyes.

"Both of you dating each other!?"- I said a bit too loudly, because of excitement.

They both look at each other and smiled. Nathan held Amanda's hand across the table and intertwined it with his.

My eyes go a little teary. I'm so happy. So so happy.

"I'm so happy for both of you"- I said then hugged Amanda. I wiped the tears that has fallen while ago.

To be honest, I kinda did had a feeling that both of them would end up together, but I didn't think it would be so soon. They both deserve to be happy, both of them are such good people. I'm so happy because I know that Nathan is the perfect guy for Amanda. I just hope they would last longer that possible. I actually never seen Amanda this happy.

"I love you both"- I told them, they looked at me and smiled.

"We love you too"- they said in unison causing me to smile.

In love you should remember that:

My phone suddenly rings, interrupting the perfect moment.

I answered it without looking.

"Yes, hello?"

"Harold's awake"-With that my whole body freezes in anticipation. I ended the call and allowed myself to let the words Harold's mother told me earlier.

"I need to go, Harold's awake"- I said and stand up abruptly. They followed me and said that they will just drive me to the hospital.

We went to the hospital together.

This is it. One more chance and I'll make this right.
