Chapter 23

Jace's POV
I wake up in a strange room. I get out of the bed and look through the window ~ I see my house. I'm at Lina's house. I sneak into Lina's room and Blue sees me and runs to me. I scratch his head and say " how you doing?" He barks and runs to Lina who was sleeping. She moans and says " Blue, I'm trying to sleep. Go wake up Jace." "I'm already awake." Lina moves the covers and sits up. She fixes her hair and says " oh." Lina pats the space next to her and I lay down. I turn to her and say " hey." She strokes my cheek and I smile and say " we have a cast lunch at 12:30." Lina nods and takes my hand. I lean in and kiss her. We kiss harder and Lina pulls on my hair. We pull apart and breathe hard.
I snuggle next to Lina and say "I love you." ~ she looks down to me and says " I love you too." She picks up Blue and puts him between us. Blue looks at us and licks my face. I laugh and say "come on babe we gotta get going." I lift up Lina and bring her to the bathroom. I put her down and point to the shower. She nods and starts to take her clothes off. She looks at me and says " Jace... " I put my hands up and say " what ?" "just go outside." I hoop on Lina's bed and go on my phone. I see 2 missed calls from Sean, 4 missed calls from my mom and 10 messages from a group chat. I go on the group chat and see : Jade , Maeve, Sean , Riele, Lina and Cooper. They were all talking about the lunch and stuff. I was scrolling down when I saw a message : I saw a post from a girl who says " she dated Jace " and she wanted revenge. I was so confused so I called Maeve cause she said that.
** call **
ringing.....
M- hello?
J - um.. hi
M- hi Jace
J- I have a question.
M- is it about that post?
J- yea. Who posted that?
M- I'm not sure but I send it to you
J- can you? I wanna see who said that
M- I'll send it now.
J- ok
pause**
M- I just sent it
J- cool.
pause **
I go into my messages and see the post. I look at the username ~ it looks familiar. I go back to the call.
J - thanks, I'll see you later
M- ok, bye
** end **
Lina's POV
I get out of the bathroom and see Jace with his hands on the back of his head. I walk up to him and say " what's wrong." Jace jumps and says " ha, what ?" I said " what's wrong ." " um. nothing ~ just thinking." "Ok." I go to my closet and take out black jeans and a white lace crop top. I put my clothes on and see Jace grin. I walk up to him and look up and say " babe, go to your house and change." Jace nods and grabs his phone and runs out of the room. I look out the window and see Jace's shadow go into the living room and up the stairs.
** 12:20 **
           I was in my sisters's room playing with them when Jace called me. I pick up and say " hey babe." "hey , I'm picking you up in like a minute." " ok." We hang up and I head downstairs. I grab my bag and wait in the kitchen. I hear a honk and look through the window~ I see Jace's car. I yell " MOM, IM GOING TO THE LUNCH NOW." My mom says " ok sweetie , have fun." I open the door and get into the car. I kiss Jace on the cheek and charge my phone. We drive to the lunch when Jade called us. I answer and put it on speaker.
** Call **
J/L - hey Jade
J- hi, guys can you pick me up?
L- uhh. sure where are you?
J- at the studio I just finished
J/L - ok. We'll be there in 5 minutes
J- k thanks
** end of call**
       Jace turns and drives into the Paramount Studios. Jace did a sharp turn and pushes on the break and I fall forward. I breathe and say " Jace , what the hell." Jace says " sorry." ~ he kisses me and continues to look ahead. I see Jade sitting on a bench and Jace honks the horn. Jade looks up and walks to the car. Jade gets in and says "thanks for picking me up." " no problem."
** at the lunch **
Jade's POV
     We park the car and walk into the restaurant. I see Maeve and wave. She comes up to us and says " hey guys." ~ then see looks at Jace and Lina's hands.   She rolls her eyes and looks the other way. I look up and see Maeve's face ~ it was sad and jealous. I took Maeve's arm and brought her to bathroom. I look at her and say " Maeve , what's wrong with you?" " what?" " why are you acting so.. so jealous?" " me? Jealous." I nod. Maeve looks down and says " it bothers me that Jace is with Lina ok." But you don't have to act like you hate them." " I know but I can't I just can't." We leave the bathroom and go to the table. We sit and Sean , Riele and Ella come. Maeve and I sit next to each and Riele and Ella sit aside us. Jace and Lina sit in front of us and Maeve rolls her eyes. Sean sits across from Cooper. 
Lina taps her fingers on the table and says " so. Season 2's today." Riele and Ella say " woo hoo." Maeve cross her arms and sits back. Lina looks at her and says " are you ok?" ~ giving her an annoyed look. " yea I'm fine just keep talking." ~ and she moves her hand up and down. Lina breathes and murmurs " bitch ." She opens her eyes and pushes herself away from the table. She stands up and says " I'm sorry, I can't do this." She grabs her phone and leaves. Jace gets up and says " I'll be right back."
Jace's POV
Lina just left the lunch and stormed out of the restaurant. I leave the restaurant and see Lina walking around the corner. I get to the corner and see Lina talking on the phone. I hide behind the wall. On the phone she says " I don't know what her problem is , I never did anything to her." " she's acting so pissed off." She sniffs and says " I gotta go, I'll talk to you later." I walk up to Lina and she turns around and says " JACE?!" I look at her and say " what's going on?" Lina falls in my arms and starts crying. " I don't know what's happening. Maeve's acting so pissed of at me." " She's acting like I did something to her." I rub her back and say " it's gonna be ok, just ignore it." She looks up to me and says " really?" "really." I lean in and kiss her. I take her hand and we go back to the restaurant.
We sit down and Lina breathes in. I take her hand and say " just ignore it." She nods and talks to Ella. Cooper pokes me and says " what's up with Lina?" " she's feeling a bit down cause Maeve's acting weird around her." He nods and continues to eat.
** after the lunch **
Lina's POV
We finish the lunch and Riele says " guys , wanna come to my house later to see the premiere?" " sure ." everyone says. Jace, Jade and I go to the car. I get in and Jade says " Lina, are you ok?" I nod and feel a tear go down my cheek. I quickly brush it away and look ahead. Jace gets in and says "so Jade, do you know why Maeve's acting all weird?" Jade shakes her head and says " nope." I can tell Jade's lying. I go on my phone and look at the post that's being reposted. I like it and go on Twitter and tweet : Guys, Season 2 . The Beat goes on. 👏🏼 We get to Jade's house and she gets out. I open my door and walk up to her and say " Jade , I know you're lying. I know you know why Maeve's acting like this." Jade looks at me and says " maybe I do maybe I don't ." She turns around and goes in her house. I get back in the car and Jace says " what was that for?" "she's lying, she knows why Maeve's acting like this." Jace nods and says " I kinda wanna know why too."
