I feel something warm wrapped around me. It's soft and I assume it's a blanket. I am way too afraid to open my eyes though. I try to move my limbs and my arms and right leg move perfectly. My left leg hurts really bad when I try to move it and it's really stiff. The pain indicates that I am alive, but how? I could have sworn that I was swallowed by a titan. I finally build up the urge to open my eyes. I look around to see I'm in a big room with blinding sunlight flooding in from a window. I sit up and look around more to see a pair of calm grey eyes staring into mine.

"Levi?"

"So you did survive. Good. You're going to have to stay off that ankle for a few weeks though. The titan shattered half the bones in it."

"How did I get here? I thought I died."

"So did the rest of my squad. I heard you scream my name and I knew something had happened. The titan was starting to walk away when I got there, and you were nowhere to be found. Cadet Ackerman was knocked unconscious being helped by Petra and Hange, and Eld was yelling something at me."

"That doesn't explain how I got here, Levi." I started to rub my broken ankle to ease the pain.

"I finally decided to slay the creature and before it died, I spit you out as it fell. Most of us thought you were dead, but Petra believed you had a chance. So did I."

"Y-you believed? Levi I-"

"Don't try to understand. The second we got back, we put you in the infirmary. You wont be able train for a few weeks, so you won't be going with me on out next trek." His eyes became soft and kind. Levi saved me. He believed in me. For a moment, I thought he couldn't care less if I died.

"Thank you, Levi. I didn't know that you cared."

"Tch. Don't let it go to your head." My face became hot and a blush spread across my cheeks. Levi cares about me. Levi returned to his normal stoic look and stood up.

"I best be going. I have to file a report for this journey to Erwin. I'll see you at supper."

"Yeah, see you." Levi left and the room felt cold. Like he was creating the warmth. I felt alone and scared, and I couldn't understand why. There was a leg brace by the door, I suppose it was for when I went to the dorms or for meals. I flipped around in the be so my head was facing the door and I could just barely reach the brace. I pulled it onto the bed and tried to figure out how to put it on. I heard a knock on the door and I threw the blanket over the thing. "Come in!" I yelled. I looked at the door and saw a sad eyed Eren walk into the room.

"Hey, (y/n). How are you?"

"I'm ok... I'm just a little shocked." I said. Of course, my ankle started to hurt as I said this.

"That's good. Do you need any help moving or anything? I mean, you're probably traumatized. I know I was when I was swallowed."

"Just a little. I'll get over it though. Hey, how's Mikasa? She got hit pretty hard."

"She's still unconscious. Armin and I got her into her room, since you were in the infirmary." I sighed.

"God, this is all my fault..." I planted my head in my hands. "If I had checked the gear before we left, neither of us would be hurt." Tears started to pour from my eyes.

"(y/n), it's not your fault. Its the quartermaster's. He didn't check the gear properly. Commander Erwin went to talk to him today." Said Eren with a concerned look on his face and in his eyes.

"Eren..." I blushed. He was being so understanding, even though I caused Mikasa to get hurt. "C-could you help me get this on?" I pulled back the covers, revealing the metal brace.
