Chapter two:
{Libby}
"Just hold still please."
He then sighs and stands straight.
"Thank you." I mumble, frustrated and continue to size his legs up to his torso. It was really awkward. The hard part was his ticklishness. He would always squirm every time I would touch his side or stomach.
After the process was over, I wrote down his sizes under his name then continued with the rest of the line. That is until I heard coach yelling at his son. I look up and see Hayes running full speed to the goal post, jumping up and grabbing ahold of the bar, then climbing it while yelling "YOLO!".
"Hayes Grier! What the- get the hell off that post!" He shouted also running towards him.
I try to maintain my laughter but couldn't help it. Jessica's hand smacks over my mouth to muffle the sound because coach is already pissed, so I don't need to make him more mad. The wind blew my hair in my face so I missed some of what happened. By this point, the whole team was running towards Hayes so me and Jess did too.
When we got over there, he was standing on the pole. It wasn't very thick, so he could fall off any second if something happened. And probably get hurt pretty bad.
A small gasp slips out of my mouth and I call his name. This boy, I'm telling you.
"Hayes, be careful! Get off of there!" I shouted up to him and his eyes looked down at mine.
He then sighs before hoping off. Don't ask why he listened to me and not his dad, because I have no clue. Thank goodness he did or that could've turned out ugly.
Well, maybe it did turn out ugly. When you run in heels, not all ends well. My ankle twisted and is hurting really bad. I started limping on it, trying to be subtle so no one would notice, but that didn't work.
"Hey, you okay?" Hayes pointed at my leg. No I'm not okay, these heels are killing my ankle even more.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I lie and he looks at me in disbelief. What? It's not like I'm dead.
"No you're not, you're limping Liddy," He smiled, hinting at his joke. "What happened?"
I rolled my eyes and looked up at him. I kind of don't want people to know that this happened, I don't want to cause anything. Honestly, I only twisted it so no biggie.
"I ran in heels," I laughed and he chuckled. He then just looks at me dead in the eyes, waiting for something.
"And twisted your ankle I'm guessing?"
"Maybe." I sighed and he shakes his head.
"Life lesson for you, don't run in heels again."
I giggle at his comment and he keeps asking me if I'm okay. I mean, I should probably ice it when I get home because I can't afford to get out from school. My mother would kill me. She'll probably be mad just at this, let alone missing science and tests.
"These heels are just making it worse, but I can't just go around barefoot." I said as I go through papers of the uniforms. He then gasps and pats my shoulder excitedly.
"You can wear my shoes! I keep an extra pair in the locker room, well besides my cleats. You can just give them back tomorrow." He offered and I considered it. I mean it probably would be a lot more comfortable. My feet are big anyways.
"That'd be awesome. Thank you so much." I sighed in relief and attempt to walk but fail miserably. My ankle is too sore, I just collapse.
"Oh gosh. Libby you okay," He reacts quickly by bending down and holding it in his hands. His eyes examine the swell that I didn't even realize I had. "This isn't good, I should get you to the nurse."
