Chapter 24 - Farewell

Charles's POV

Day 2 

Monday 

5:30 pm

"Dude, sigurado ka ba dito?" Seth said.

"Yes. It's for the best." I answered.

"Paano si Isabel?"

"She must forget me."

"Hay. Sige tol. Park ko muna nang maayos ang sasakyan."

"Okay."

I'm currently here at the airport.

A few more minutes, I'll be leaving. 

Leaving my friends. 

Leaving Isabel.

But why do I keep on hoping that the moment I walk towards the door, Isabel will come, like those typical love stories, and we'll talk, and promise to each other?

Nah.

I'm just imagining things.

It won't happen. I made sure that Isabel won't know I'm leaving. I already asked help from P and Tricia.

I told them not to tell Isabel.

I wished they did tell Isabel.

Because now, I feel like something's lacking. I wished we spent more time together.

I wished I spent this day with her.

What was that Filipino saying?

Nasa huli ang pagsisisi?

Yeah. That saying was right.

But even our relationship wasn't even a month long, I had memories worth remembering.

Enough of this. I'm getting sappy.

Then I noticed a little girl.

She was crying. Then a little boy came and comforted her.

"Sorry bespren. Kailangan ko kasing umalis eh." Said the little boy.

"Babalik ka ha? Diba?" The little girl said in between her sobs.

"Oo naman."

"Mamimiss kita Owen."

"Mamimiss din kita Ren."

"Lagi mo kong tatawagan ha?"

"Oo naman. Teka. Eto para di mo ko makalimutan."

I saw the little boy gave a silver necklace to the girl.

"Thanks bespren." The little girl smiled.

The boy turned and started to walk away. But the little girl stopped him.

"Ikaw, we're still friends right?" The little girl asked. The boy nodded, ang hugged the little girl.

(A/N: Yung batang babae at lalake sila yung magiging characters sa bago kong story kapag natapos na to. haha.)

I sighed. I walked away and was about to walk towards the door, when.

PAAAKK

Ouch!

I felt my head. Jeez! Who threw that shoe? It hurts you know!

I turned around and I almost jumped.

I saw Isabel with P and Tricia.

"Charles Taylor, you are not leaving this country without saying goodbye to me." Isabel said.

She walked towards me and we hugged.

"I'm sorry Isabel." I said.

"Okay lang. Sinabi na sakin nina bes kung bakit ka aalis. Follow your dreams okay? It's for your future."

"But it won't be worth it if it would be a future we wouldn't be sharing." I said.

"Charles, it's for the best."

"Thanks for understanding Isabel."

"Oo naman. Ikaw pa. Sa tagal nating magkakilala, alam kong yan talaga ang gusto mo. Go for it."

"I'll be missing you Isabel."

"Ano ba. Wag mo kong paiyakin. Oo na. Mamimiss din kita."

"Goodbye. Maybe in another lifetime we'll have our own happy ending."

"Maybe Charles. Maybe."

"I must be going. I'm happy we're okay. But, Isabel are you really okay?"

"Oo naman. Bakit?"

"Ethan."

"Oh."

"He loves you Isabel. More than I love you. Fix your friendship, okay?"

"I will. Salamat Charles."

I smiled. And I walkes towards the door.

"Charles!" Isabel called.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Ikaw, we're still friends right?"

I smiled. I'll never forget this moment in my life.

Anyways, yung mga bata nga po kanina, characters sila sa susunod kong story. Basta. Haha

Di ko po alam kung makakaabot po to ng chapter 40. Baka hanggang chapter 35 lang to.
