[Pete's POV]
It was the nicest thing I could have done. The kid had no friends to sit with, and those stupid kids keep harassing him! So, I took him out for lunch. It had to be fast though, since I had to get him back before class started again. For me it was different, I had a free hour after my lunch. That's why Gerard and I plan on going together, we talk a lot. That's why it's good I have a free hour, if I didn't I would be late and probably miss an entire hour!

"So," I began, breaking the silence between us as we drove down the road to the local town restaurant Pizza Pals Diner. "Tell me a little both about yourself Patrick." He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose since they had been slowly slipping down his face. "Well, um, I. I like to play and write music. I like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I-" I cut him off. "Wait go back." He looked confused. "I like the Ninja Turtles?" I shook my head. "No, no. The music one." He nodded understandingly.

"Yeah, I like writing and playing music." I smiled as I drove into the parking lot of the diner. "Well, that's something we have in common. I like that too, what're your favorite artists or music genre?" I asked him, he smiled brightly. "I really like 80s and like Michael Jackson. I like show songs, and Frank Sinatra. Yet, 80s is my favorite stuff. I also like bands like Nirvanna, Green Day, Metallica, and-" I cut him off again excitedly. "Woah! I do too!" I exclaimed pulling at my Metallica shirt. He smiled and looked at it.

"That's another thing we have in common." I said, giggling. He grinned and I saw his eyes sparkle in the sunlight. We both bumped forward as the car made a sudden jolt as it stopped. We both got out and began to walk to the door.

"Patrick," I said, he had been staring at the ground so he looked up at me. "Yeah?" He replied. "Tell me about your family." He paused and his smile faded. He looked to that ground and at that moment I knew I had said something wrong. I placed a hand on his shoulder calmly. "Patrick, I'm so sorry. I didn't me to-" "It's fine Mr. Wentz-" I cut him off after hearing him address me formally. It honestly made me cringe. "We're out of school, call me Pete." He nodded. "Okay, Pete. It's fine, my home life isn't too great, but I don't really wanna talk about it. I hope you respect that. It just kinda private to me." I understood. Something's just weren't meant to be told, I understood completely.

"Okay then, if you're home life is a secret, can I ask you what you're favorite color is?" He nodded. "Blue. My favorite color is blue." I grinned and pulled the handle of the diner, making the right half of the shiny metallic door open. "Cool. I like turtles." I replied, impersonating the kid in the video. Patrick smiled punched my arm softly and I began laughing to myself quietly.

We both walked up to the front desk and the lady sat us at a table. We both began to look at the menu, which was filled with different pizzas. I finally decided on a pepperoni pizza and Patrick got just plain cheese.

The lady came back and took our orders, gave us our drinks that were a Coke and water, Patrick got water and I had gotten the Coke. We laughed about random things and told stories. Some were funny stories, other serious, and others were just plain random! I felt I really got to know him, and he got to know me too!

"I saw your picture you took with Assistant Principle Iero and Principle Way. Were you at a concert?" He asked me, taking a sip of his water. I nodded. "Yup, we went to go see Green Day. They were pretty awesome!" I smiled, as I remembered that night. Basically one of the best days of my life!

"Really! I love Green Day!" I nodded as Patrick said this. "I know, you told me earlier." He smiled. "Oh yeah, I forgot. Silly me." We both laughed and I looked over to the clock. 11:26 AM. I had to get Patrick back by 11:35. I paid and left a tip. We both walked back to the car and talked the rest of the way to the school.

I think that was one of the best lunches I'd had in a long time!
