[Pete's POV]
"So, as I was saying," My lawyer went on, I sighed and stretched. They took notice to this and frowned. "I'm sorry, but am I boring you Mr. Wentz?" They questioned, I perked up and shook my head. "No. No! Absoulutely not." I replied, they nodded slowly."Okay, so, you will be coming to the court house on Friday for the case? Correct?" She asked once more, I nodded. She then smiled and began to pack up her things into her briefcase. "Good, I will see you then Peter." She held out her hand, I shook it, and she left.
Well, that wasted three hours of my life. I sighed and walked into my kitchen. I had left an open box of cereal out and a bowl with only a few soggy pieces of cereal swimming in warm milk was sat on the table.
I wish Patrick was here, he would make me happy. He always had a way of entertaining me with his amazing songs or stories he would tell. The stories were the best. He had the wildest imagination and he had the brightest smile as well.
I felt alone right now.
I wanted to call Gerard, but he was probably busy. The same with Frank. I could always call Alex and Ja-
I jumped at the sudden pounding of my front door. I figured it was my lawyer, so I went to let he in.
To my surprise, it wasn't her at all. It was John. One of my old friend from highschool.
John and I used to be bestfriends, we lost contact after school, but he was always there for me. We did everything together when we were teenagers. He was my rock, and I was his. Our friendship kind of ended on bad terms, nut I'm sure he forgave me, as I had forgiven him.
"Petey!" John shouted, throwing his arms out and smiling brightly.
My eyes opened wide and I beamed. "Oh my gosh! Hey Johnny, come on in." I said, smiling widely. John nodded.
We both walked over to my couch and sat down. John on the left side, myself on the right.
"So, John, what brings you here?" I asked, John gave me a puzzled face. I nodded. "You're my house, so I was just kind of curious as to why you're he-" He cut me off.
"Oh, I actually have some news." He said, his face turning serious. "What?" I asked, squirming in my seat. "You may wanna, um, brace yourself."
"It's about that Patrick kid."
I felt myself go cold and face flush. My stomache flipped and I suddenly felt nausia rush over me like a hurracaine. What could have possibly happened to Patrick?
"He, he, um," John sighed, I shifted. "My son, he, has a crush on him. I know I probably sound crazy, but Alex is too shy and nervous to ask Patrick. So, I came to ask you. You know, father to father." I was stunned. Speachless would be a good word to use. This was insane. I was going insane!
"Um, well, I'm not really his dad." I said, my voice trailing off into nothing around the last three words. John raised an eyebrow. "Than, what is your relationship with Patrick?" He questioned, I scratched the back of my head. Well, I guess I'm kind of his dad.
"Um, uh," I stammered, desperatly trying ti think of something. "Uncle! I'm his, uncle." It pained me to lie to my friend, but I felt obligated to.
"Okay, well, could you ask Patrick how he feels about what I'm asking? Sorry for the trouble Pete, it was nice seeing you. How about you call me." He smiled and handed me a card.
The gold lettering shimmered in the sun. I read:
John Myers, Your Pride Bank CEOMy eyes widened at the CEO part. Holy fuck, this guy was rich.
"I'll see you see." He waved and left. Left me standing all alone in my living room.
Alone.
