[Pete's POV]
"Yeah, what's up?" Brendon asked, I ran a hand through my hair and looked at the ground. "Patrick's gone. He hasn't been home in two days. I checked with Andy and his mom, nothing. Dallon for sure has no idea where on Earth that bastard is." I whisper yelled.

Brendon's eyes lit up, he put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Don't panic, I saw him earlier, it'll be okay." I jerked my head up and my eyes jolted open. "You, you saw him?! Where?" Brendon smiled. "In my health class." He replied, my eyes softened and I walked over to the window to stare at the parking lot.

"I already checked with the health teacher, she said he was absent for half the hour. He left in the middle of class." I stated, Brendon looked confused. "But I swear I saw him for the whole hour." He said, his voice trailing off slowly with confusion.

"He must have left while you weren't paying attention," I stated, trying to find a logical reason somewhere. Brendon nodded and began to pull out his phone. "Have you tried calling him yet?" He asked, I sighed and rolled my eyes. "No Brendon, I odviously haven't thought of that. That was totally not my first idea." I stated sarcastically.

Brendon groaned and put his phone away. "It was just an idea." He muttered, I walked over to my desk and shuffled through papers, looking for a note that Patrick may have left. I sunk into my desk chair in complete and utter defeat. Nothing. There was nothing to be found.

Why did he just leave? I mean, I kinda knew why. Yet, he should have let me explain! It wasn't my fault that happened.

"You've checked the cemetary?" Brendon asked, I nodded. "Yeah, that was one of the first places I looked. Also, yes before you ask, I checked with Andy and his mom, he hasn't been there. He wasn't at the library, the music store, or my house, for odvious reasons."

"Have you checked Old Oaken Park?" He asked, my eyes widened. "Wait, where?!" I exclaimed, now standing up and rushing to my door. Brendon smiled and kept explaining. "It's the park where we met, it's basically his favorite park in exsistence." I smiled and gave Brendon a huge hug. "Thanks Bren!"

I ran out and heard Brendon say softly, "Glad I could, help?"

I told Gerard and Frank I needed to leave and they said it was fine, they just wanted to keep making out honestly.

I ran into the dead streets and made my way to where Old Oaken Park was. My feet slammed against the ground as I desperately tried to find Patrick. He had to be here!

I checked around the park and found nothing, until..

I ran to a tree where a grey fedora was hanging from a tree. I grabbed it and sighed. Come on Trick! You're scaring me!

A song booklet was rested in the tree as well. The words on the front of the ragged brown leather cover were, Patrick Stump :). I swear if he-

I opened the book and ripped through pages, songs I knew that he had made were filling the lined pages. I reached the final page and all it read was:

I'm done. :( I love everyone who cares about me, but I need to be with my dad. Sorry, but I'm done fighting.

My eyes filled with anger and tears. That son of a bitch! He couldn't have! He was one of the only people I had left in my life! I threw the notebook on the ground and placed the fedora gently on the ground.

"Patrick!" I screamed in panic. This wasn't happening! My heart banged in my chest as I searched frantically for my boyfriend. Tears streamed my face and the wind whipped my face violently.

"Pa-" I started, but was cut off by a sight of a river. He couldn't have.

I ran over and saw  a large figure at the bottom of the river. My breath was caught in my throat and I screamed with hot angry tears breaking through my heavy eyelids.

I jumped in and swan with great force to the bottom of the river. The dirty water clouded my vision and it burned at my eyes, but I didn't care. A rock was attached to a limb of the object. He better not have been so stupid!

The figure came into my sight and I made out the features. I knew who he was. I couldn't believe it.

Patrick.

I grabbed his arms and yanked him up, the rock mocking and persuading me to let my beautiful boyfriend sink to the bottom and slowly rot away. I refused it's request and reached surface. I threw Patrick onto the shore and gasped loudly, air filling my lungs quickly.

"Patrick," I said, crawling over to him and coughing out warm river water. I was out of breath and was struggling to get back my lost air. "Please. I, I need you."

He was motionless, all his features dead. His lips were blue and his face was flushed pale. All his limbs weakly laid on the sandy shoreline. His hair was soaked and covered with dirt and plants.

All the memories rushed through my mind, the months we had together. Meeting him for the first time, going out to lunch at the pizza parlor, learning all his favorite things, taking him in, our first kiss, swimming in the lake with him, and so many more memories.

I collapsed onto his chest and cried. "Please, not now." I said through tears.

I pressed his chest and connected my lips to his. I blew air in and hoped to God it would work.

After many minutes of the repeated action, "P-" Someone said, through a cough and gasp of air. "Pe-Pete." I jolted my eyes open and stared into his blue-green eyes, they were lifeless, but still alive.

"Oh my God!" I yelled, jumping to my feet and pulling out my phone to call an ambulance.

"Yes, um, I need assistance now! Oh, um, Old Oaken Park. Thank you." I said, to the lady on the other end of the phone.

"Don't you ever do that to me ever again you son of a bitch." I said, giving him a huge hug and refusing to let go.

"Why'd you save me?" He asked, puzzled at my actions. I looked him in the eyes. "I can't lose you. You're all I got boy." He smiled and I kissed his lips. He kissed back weakly and I tugged on his hair.

He moaned and wrapped his arms around my torso.

"Don't ever leave me, again." I said, once more. He nodded.

"Never."
