Chapter 24

"This one is cute" Erin said pointing to the bedding, "though it's definitely for a girl, knowing what you are having would make this easier you know" Erin laughed as they went down the next aisle, "married life still good?"

Kim smiled, "it is" she grabbed a bedding set, "this I like" she showed it to Erin, "and it's gender neutral" she pointed out.

"Finally" Erin laughed as they made their way to the front of the store, "you think the guys are done yet?"

Jay sat against the wall, the directions in his hand, "I'm telling you Ruzek, we shouldn't have all these extra pieces" he pointed to the small pile of nuts, washers, and screws, "You really don't want to put your kid in that thing" he laughed.

Adam went to the crib and gently pushed on the side of it the whole crib started to sway from side to side, "I guess you're right, I should have spent the extra hundred and had them assemble it"he said as he started taking it apart.

"I say we call Dawson, he's done this before" Jay suggested, "or even O"

"No, we are going to do it" Adam told him, "Kim didn't think I could do it, I'm gonna prove her wrong" he smirked.

"Where next?" Erin asked as they loaded the last of the packages in her trunk.

"Food" Kim laughed, "I'm starving"

After another hour of trying to assemble the crib Adam tossed the directions on the floor, "I'm done, I'm calling the store and having someone come to the house to put this shit together"

"Finally, thank you!" Jay laughed. "Erin just texted me, they're at the restaurant they want us to meet them"

"Let's go"

"The guys should be here any minute" Erin told Kim, "you think they got the crib together?"

Kim laughed, "No, I suggested paying for the assembly but Adam was all 'I got this', but knowing Adam it's not been put together" she laughed.

"You're right" Adam laughed when he took the chair next to Kim, kissing her cheek "how's my baby?" He asked rubbing her belly.

"Good. Will this baby ever have a crib to sleep in?" She asked him.

"Already called the store, they're sending someone out tomorrow to put it together" he informed her, "we had it sort of together but then found all these extra pieces"

"It was a death trap Kim" Jay laughed.

"Hey Adam" he heard someone say, "how's life?" She stopped beside the table.

"Oh, hi Brandi" he said uncomfortably, "meet my wife Kim"

"Wow!" She replied, "Someone finally got you to the alter" her response snarky.

"I guess it just took finding the right person" Kim replied, "nice to meet you" she lied.

Brandi smirked, "touché" she noticed Kim's stomach, "looks like you two have been busy" she pointed to her stomach, "Congratulations to you both, I mean it Adam" she thawed, "Good luck"

"Well, that was just a little awkward"'Jay spoke up, "that was good though Kim"

"You think?" Kim laughed, her hand going to her stomach, "oh my" her face filled with pain, "Adam, somethings wrong" the color draining from her face.
