Valadhiels POV

For some reason that evening, I felt as if I should wear a dress. So I slipped on my dress. (Media) and made my way to dinner. To my surprise Legolas wasn't there.

"Hello Valadhiel." Tauriel said civilly not liking that I arrived at dinner.

"Have you seen Legolas?"

"Not since our wonderful time this morning."  She flipped her hair as I looked down not wanting to know.

"I think he found his match, if you know what I mean." She winked "we have quite the connection."

"I'm not sure what you mean. "I spoke politely

"Legolas andI...." She drawled dragging her fingers "we have a special bond-"

"I'm sure you do." I said coolly

"It's obvious were made for eachother." She grinned victoriously.

"Is that so?" I raised an eyebrow

"Why of course. Why else would he say, and I quote 'I hope you find what your looking for. ' " she sighed dreamily as I rolled my eyes.

"What do you think?" She looked at me testingly

I finally got it. She was daring me to get jealous. I sure wouldn't give her the satisfaction.

"What Legolas does is his own business. I'm his friend and I will support him no matter what." I said coolly "now if you excuse me. I have matters to attend."

I didn't want her to get Legolas. I hope that there chat meant nothing, after all I was his best friend. I hated to feel insecure about these things and the feeling continued to nag me.

"Valadhiel?" Legolas called softly as his jaw went slack.

"H-hi Legolas." I stuttered

"You look-"

"Idiotic?" I thought

"Stunning." He composed himself. "Will you walk with me?"

I nodded nervously taking his arm as he led me to the garden. The moonlight shined on us as I grew ever nervous.

"Is something wrong?" I blurted not being able to take the suspense "did I do something?"

He smiled "sort of."

"Well what is it?" I asked sliding from foot to foot.

He took my hands as I stared into his green eyes of forest.

"I found my match.  She's perfect in every way. I just don't know how she will react. " Legolas looked down with shaking hands.

My face fell in sadness as I quickly drew my hands away. "Congratulations."

He noticed my tone and spun me around to face him "Valadhiel, it's you."

I stood there in utter shock, not knowing what to do or say. I suddenly broke out into a grin and hugged him tightly.

"Oh Mellon nin." I sighed "never have I been  so happy. "

He was grinning so wide as if he was on a sugar rush. He cupped my face with so much love and adoration and softly kissed my mouth.

"We must tell my father." He grinned as he picked me up bridal style and ran to Thranduil's chambers.

"Well well. It's about time you two got together." He smirked "it's been too long. You should have been together ages ago."

"Agreed." Legolas put a firm arm around my waist. "She is after all, my match."

"A wonderful match it is." He agreed

"Thank you your highness." I bowed as he laughed

"Don't do that. We are family now."

A moment of small talk erupted as Thranduil suddenly smirked

"So when's the wedding?"

"ADA!" Legolas screeched as Thranduil roared with laughter "stop! Your embarrassing me!"

He laughed harder "I'm your father. It's my job."

He stuck out his tongue at his father as he turned me towards the door. "We're leaving now!"

"Have fun kids! Use protection!" Thranduil  roared with more laughter and wiped tears from his eyes.

"ADA!" Legolas screeched as I laughed along.  We finally made it to my corridor as Legolas kissed me goodnight.

It was quiet for everyone was sleeping. .i suddenly heard a movement as I froze in place to scared to move.

"I'll get you one day!" A voice hissed as I ran to my room in utter fright.

I hope it wasn't who I think it is.
