Chapter 10

Megan's P.O.V.

I was surprised with how many people were here. At school and everywhere I go people think of me as the freak who lost her parents, that let Aaron rape her and the one whose best friend tried to commit suicide. Walking out here though made me forget all about my bad past, and reminded me of how much I need to look forward to life.

"Oh come on Megan don't just stand there gawking at all the cute people here," Nat said very enthusiastically...surprisingly.

She squeezed my hand as we walked off to where everyone was and started to talking to people we used to hang out with on the cheer squad. They all hugged me like we haven't seen each other in years when really, we see eachother everyday but they are always talking behind my back. So far this is the weirdest party I've ever been to but that could be because Nat wouldn't let me throw it or anything, she just had to take care all of the details.

"Hey Nat... when is the parents supposed to leave? You know so I can make this real and not so lame," I whisper in her ear.

She looked around to see if they were here," What time is it?"

"Uhhhh I don't know."

"Well it looks like they aren't here so we can just say we are safe and besides they were going to leave right as soon as the party started. SO LET'S GET THIS STARTED!" She yelled.

Nat's P.O.V

Megan didn't really have any idea how this party was going to go other than that it was so far very lame. I walked inside as she stood there talking to our old friends...

"Umph...sorry. I.I didn't mean to-"

I look up to see a boy I didn't recognize. I don't remember inviting him but I'm kinda glad he did come he's really..

"Its okay. Are you okay at least? I don't want to be hurting the birthday girl."

"Oh uhm I'm not the birthday girl, she's over there," I say pointing over at Megan who looks like she's having the time of her life.

"Okay well then I'm going to go unless you need some help," he says with a smile and walks away.

I shook my head and when I looked up he was gone. Wow that couldn't have even even more embarrassing, wait what was I over here for? Oh yeah.... I don't remember now. 

I look over my shoulder to see him standing there talking to a group of guys and he waved flashing his gorgeous smile.  This is Megan's day not yours, don't ruin it for her.
