"Wake up sleepy heads." Lucas shouted as he pulled into the driveway.
I wasn't able to completely fall asleep. Even though I stayed up all night catching up with Braylen and woke up kinda early I still couldn't go to sleep, I was anxious and nervous and excited all in one. I love adventure world it was amazing and it was always a fun time, but I've never been here with a guy that I'd liked. I always came with my family or Katie's family or a trip with friends. But there was always a parent here, so this was a first.
"Quickest ride here yet." Nolan said getting out the car and stretching.
"That was pretty quick." Braylen said yawning as she grabbed her bag.
"What time is it?" Katie asked getting out the car.
"11:15" Luc said getting his bag and handing Katie and I ours. "Everybody all set?" Lucas said closing the trunk.
"Yep." We all said in unison.
"Let's go!" He said locking the car doors and leading the way.
I know I mentioned that adventure world was huge, but I mean it's humongous. Everytime I come here I'm just reminded of the size. It shouldn't still phase me though as often as we come here. Hell we come so often we have a yearly membership. And because our parents love us we got the extreme membership, which allows us to paticipate in all of the activities with no limits, excluding the carnival games, you still had to pay for those. But we also got 2 lockers free of charge and every time we visit we get 1 free large pizza with 2 toppings and unlimited refills on drinks as long as we had our park cups.
"Hey, Lucas how's I going?" Jerry, the front desk man asked as he pulled up our membership.
"Pretty good." He responded.
"Okay, Lauren, Lucas and Braylen Rosehill hold your wrists out please." Jerry said as he put our wristbands on.
"Ok, and Ms. Donavan, give me a sec to pull up your membership," jerry said to Katie "Ok here we go, hold out your wrist." He said to her.
"Thanks Jerry." She said stepping to the side.
"And Josh and Nolan Woodson, give me a sec" jerry said scanning the computer "Ok all set, hold out your wrists."
"Thanks." Josh and Nolan said.
"No problem, have a great time here at Adventure world." Jerry said smiling and waving to us.
"What's next?" Katie said looking at Lucas.
"Well do we wanna go do water stuff first then eat then do dry stuff or the other way around?" Lucas said to us.
"Water stuff first." I said.
"Yeah definitely." Nolan agreed.
"Same here." Katie said.
"Bray?" Lucas said to her waiting for an answer.
"Yeah yeah water first." She said.
"Cool." Lucas said as we headed over to the lockers.
Since we all had the same membership we all were able to use 2 lockers, so we each had our own because Katie let Braylen use one of hers since she didn't need it. We were done putting everything in out lockers and we headed over to the outdoor water park. It was a nice and warm day about 87 degrees out so it was a good day to go swimming. We got to the water park and rented a cabana since we planned on being here for at least 3 or 4 hours. And thanks to our membership we got 25% off the rental. So instead of paying $240 for the 4 hours we only had to pay $180 and we all chipped in. We got to the cabana and we all set our stuff on the sofas and we covered ourselves in sunscreen lotion and bug spray. Nolan and Lucas went off to the big water slides, and Katie and Braylen went off to the lazy river to tan, leaving Josh and I alone.
"So, what's first?" He asked me.
"You tell me." I said smiling.
It was really amazing that I was even still on two feet. I mean gosh, seeing him in his swim trunks with no shirt on and his abs glistening from the lotion, just made me feel things that I've never felt before when seeing a guy with his shirt off. And his eyes just staring directly into mine just made it even worse.
"How about the crazy river." He said smiling wickedly.
The crazy river was just that. A crazy river. It had rip currents and wild waves. It was shaky and nine times out of ten you were bound to fall out of your 2 person boat. But Josh wanted to do it and I honestly haven't done it in like 2 years so maybe things have changed.

"You guys ready?" The man in control of the ride yelled over the crashing waves and loud water fall.
"You ready?" Josh asked me looking straight into my eyes.
"No, but yes." I said swallowing hard.
He must've seen the fear in my eyes because he grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him and held my hand. Then he looked at me again and told me that he wouldn't let me get hurt on the ride. In that moment I remembered yesterday when he told me to trust his word that he wouldn't let me fall down the steps. He stuck to his word then and I trust he'll stick to it now.
"Ready!" I called to the man.
"Have fun!" He said and he pushed our boat into the river.
It was calm at first and it wasn't that bad until we came to the rip current and the waves started picking up. The water was splashing all over the place and you could barely see. We flew to all sides of the boat, which ever way the waves pushed us and everytime we slid to another side of the boat, Josh kept his arms around me and we slid in unison.
"Isn't this great!" He yelled with water splashing everywhere probably getting in his mouth.
"Yeah!" I said yelling back, getting water in my mouth.
I didn't care though. Even though my hair that I worked so long on was a hot mess, I didn't care. My makeup that I spent so much time on was ruined and again I didn't care. With all of this water in my mouth and in my eyes, I didn't care. All I cared about was being right here where I was. With the boy I liked in his arms feeling so safe and secure. This was the only thing I cared about.
"Did you guys enjoy the ride?" The man asked as we stepped out of the boat.
"It was amazing as always." Josh replied smiling at the guy and waving goodbye. "So your turn to pick."
"I'm more interested in what you want to pick." I said smirking.
"Ok then," he said smirking back. "Let's go."
"WHERE?" I asked as he pulled my hand and started walking.
"Raging waters." He said looking over his shoulder and smirking at me. "Now c'mon."
