Greyson's POV

I walked in the bedroom and Peyton looked up. "Hey baby girl." She turned over. "Pey what's wrong?"

"Nothing. Goodnight." She muttered. She was being too calm.

"Babe we both know that's a fucking lie." I dropped my backpack.

"Don't swear at me." She looked at me for a moment and looked away.

"Then tell me what's wrong!"

"Keep your voice down. I just got the girls to go to sleep." I sighed and sat beside her. "What? I'm trying to sleep, what do you want?"

"I want to know why you're being so cold. When I left earlier you were fine and now your whole attitude has changed."

"Why do you get home late?" She sat up and looked me in the eyes.

"You know I got another side job-"

"That makes your wife worry when you're coming home at three in the morning."

"I leave here and take the ten minute drive. I'm working at two fast food restaurants and I'm closing. I leave work and come straight home."

"Greyson, I-"

"Peyton I know what you're thinking. I'm not cheating on you." I grabbed her hand.

"I never sa-"

"But you were thinking it!" She sighed and got up. "You think that I made a mistake once I might do it again! Peyton I'd never do that to you! Do you even trust me?"

"I do! I just-"

"You don't fucking trust me!" I got up and stopped her pacing. "Peyton I'm not like that. I love you too much to hurt you."

"Whatever. Let's just go to sleep." She turned and I grabbed her wrist. "Let me go." I tightened my grip and she struggled. "Greyson let me go!"

"I can't sleep knowing you don't trust me." I towered over her small frame. I looked at the pained look in her eyes and down at my hand around her wrist. I let her arm go and walked out.

"Where are you going?!" She followed me down the stairs.

"I'll be back tomorrow. I love you."

"Greyson!" I walked out, slamming the door. I got in my car and drove off.

Peyton's POV

I slid down the door, sitting on the floor and crying softly. I heard the cries of the one year olds and got up. I walked upstairs and into their room. I picked them up. I carried them to my room and laid them on the bed.

"Momma." Jaylen looked up at me.

"It's okay." I kissed her forehead.

"Dada?" I pulled them closer to me.

"Daddy's not here." She pouted and laid with her sleeping sister on Greyson's pillow. She fell asleep and I stared into the darkness of the room. I looked at the girls and sighed.

The Next Morning

I woke up when I heard the front door close. I carefully slid out of bed and ran downstairs. Jade smiled at me. "Hey. Need a babysitter?" I shook my head.

"I might just get Lucy to take my notes and stay here. I barely slept last night." I sat on the couch.

"What happened? Greyson showed up at mine and Logan's house last night very upset." She sat beside me.

"We had an argument because he thinks I don't trust him." I bit my lip. She hugged me tightly.

"It's okay." Tears filled my eyes, "He'll be back. He told us he'd come back." I sniffled.
