Chapter 11

Zoe POV

This is a problem indeed. Like I know both my friends, they are probably already planning how they want to find and rescue me. This means that we have not much longer time to cook up our own plan.

Despite that Benjamin has kidnapped me, I do not think he is "evil." It seems to me he only wants the best for his family. >> What if we fight and I would defeat you and escape. Is even then your reputation spotted? << I ask him.

He thinks for a moment and then shakes his head. >> Not really, but you still would have no chance to get out of here. Can you even fight?! << Skeptical he looks at me. Indignant I blow my cheeks

>> Of course! Just yesterday I finished off a couple of bandits in the woods. Maybe you already heard about it. << He seems to think a bit and then he asks >> I've heard that the commander and an Amazon did that. You're not Edward, this much is clear but you also do not look like an Amazon from my point of view. <<

I roll my eyes annoyed >> Had Baldy not surprised me and if I had my dagger with me I would not be here like this. That's for sure. And we would have no problem .... << Agitated I rack my hair so that it sticks out wildly from my head.

But was it just yesterday when I was on my way to market? It seems like an eternity ago to me. >>What ideas do you two have? << Expectantly I look over at the two men. Steven begins to pace thoughtfully back and forth and Benjamin continues to rub his beard.

I nervously cross my arms over my chest and tap my foot on the floor. Finally Steven stops >> We will have to think about what we have to do, but I also think now it's time to eat something first. Do not you think? For sure the guards will not move out before tomorrow morning, so that we can also lie a little down. <<

No sooner has he finished speaking, my stomach begins to growl deafening. My cheeks turn pink and I smile apologetically >> I had been an exciting day and since the morning i did not eat anything. <<

Afterwards Benjamin and Steven start laughing out loud, which deepened the redness in my face. Benjamin rubs tears from his eyes and says during a few laughs >> Hehehehe ... of course ... hehe ... we must ...pffft. Steven bring the best food here so no one sees how friendly we are to our "victims". <<

Still giggling like a little girl Steven takes his leave. All the while I sit down on one of the chairs in front of Benjamin's desk. Tired and worn out, I lean back, let my head dangle back and close my eyes. This day seems to go on forever.

I have never been so tired after a full day of field work, but I think that it's not just a physical exhaustion. My head seems to explode from all information we gathered today. Sighing, I relax a little more and hardly notice that I doze off.
